I know.... Its just a frustrating situation. Ive been hunting this land for years with sucess. No monsters but plenty of deer for the freezer. I even had a bear a my trail cam before it was stolen. The land has more sentimental meening to me than just a place to hunt. I just get so angry with the lack of respect. Its time to give the place up. Its almost not even safe these days. The kicker was the two guys drinking beers over a rifle 10am in the morning during bow season. My uncle and I spoke to DEC about all the things we ran into this year. They know whats been happening and are discussing shutting it down to hunting. Fact of the matter is, its just a shame.....pretty discusting.

I'm thabkfull for the saeson, but glad its over. I started the season hopefull and excited, only to have the worst season ever. I've had to contend with Vermont and Mass hunters mallesting my hunts, stolen trail cams, beer drinkers with rifles during bow season, out of state hunters camping/occupying staging/parking area etc. When I say mallesting I mean, they will set up shop in visual range of me knowing I'm there. Yesterday, a group of 5 Mass guys pulls up while I'm getting dressed, walk right by me without even a good morning...I thought really! I stopped one of them to ask where they planned on going...and as in the past this season right where I've been. So i decided enough and went off in a different direction. About mid morning i hear a couple of them shoot... I gave it a couple hours and went to check it out. They had been where i expected them to be, but they killed at least one on adjacent posted property. Wasn't hard to find out as we got a light snow cover early morning. Anyway, glad the season is over... I've had enough. PS I hunt 5S and yes state land...

I have a Traditions Pursuit also.... love it. I don't hesitate using it during Reg season. Traditikns makes a very nice weapon. Have fun with it.

I can't stand thieves.... But on topic not during bow.or late MZ... but have just started during Reg Season.

Why is this even a question/post to begin with... Do everthing you have to do to get permission to hunt a section of land. Until then just stay off... What's the next post going to be... 'Hey Guys.... I just picked up a new bolt action... well maybe muzzle loader i think. I cant tell because i dont have a manual. How to do i load it?' For the love of God peole common sence....

Had the best day of the season. I had deer every hour...all does. I thought it was me. Glad i didn't have a doe tag. It built me up a little.

WHAT A SHAME, I hope it wasn't shot and lost.......

I'd still be in the woods paniced and shocked... GOD bless thats a great deer. A life time worth hunting.

I killed a 135lb doe opening weekend, we guessed 3 1/2... but nothing left to age her... good luck all.

Slow opener in 5R ... 1 big doe and 1 buck in my group. Good luck on day two.

Did not feel any noticable difference loading till well after 15 shots. LOVE them.

Does anyone know if one or two rogue black bear can shut down dear?

Well at least its slow everywhere. 1 way out about 80yrds. Had to come out of the stand....got a little sea sick. LOL

First time bear hunter....shooter or not!

This the first year for us in 5S and we have some sightings. We look forward to the season. Though I don't think many of us up/down here know what is a shooter or not.
