  1. I will try to find the recipe I researched so many but they are all similar. This is the season packet I used but added a few things I especially like. (more garlic) and I used a real Irish Cheese in the mash, the way you season the mince is the key to a good pie, just you tube Gordon Ramsey. Ebay actually sells this seasoning but ask about the expiration date.
  2. Forgot to take pictures but I took a Shepards Pie recipe and used venison instead... I call it "Hunters Pie". It tasted fantastic and can't wait to do it again. If made with lamb it's Shepards Pie If made with beef it's called Cottage Pie. Used a seasoning packet made in Ireland that I found in a gourmet meat shop.
  3. Great Video and yes I heard the soft bleats, soooo cool!!
  4. Congrats, it's always a special day when you get a new bow, especially one as nice as that. Amazing how well they shoot so quickly. P.S. With a name like silent death you need a great bow.
  5. Venison Bourginon, my favorite dish after clearing my 150' driveway of snow with the blower! Sometimes I will put it over noodles and "Stroganoff " it.

  8. Well it's finally here, tailgate and house party's all season long but now it's time for the grand finally. I cleaned up the grill and will be BBQ'ing Venison hot dogs, backstrap and steaks. Also making ground venison quesadilla's and burrito's. Baked bean's, roasted seasoned potatoes with a variety of grilled veggies and plenty of garlic on everything.
  9. Here we have Italian Sweet Venison Sausage, gonna put on the angel hair then top both with marinara. Delicious !!!
  10. Some Venison cube steaks and fried potatoes with egg surprise ( veggie leftovers ).
  11. Elk Sausage Buddy of mine had some Elk so I traded him my Whitetail. Delicious!!!!! Yum
  12. Here is a much better edited version done by a kind member on another forum, his skills are better than mine. Notice the mule kick he does after the first jump. 6ptBHNJ.mp4

  15. Something went wrong when posting the video... I guess you need to click on it to open..
  16. 6pt ThanksgivingBuck.mp4 So I shot this deer with my bow and was able to film it, I edited most of it to get the impact part. Hard to film by myself but was lucky this time around. He had walked past me to far away to shoot but once he got about 50 yards away I used the Primos can call and he came back on a trot. He stopped about ten yards away for a minute then walked under my tree and was sniffing the ground looking for that non-existant doe.
  17. It's always fun and great to be in the outdoors where we feel we belong. Good luck on the knee, I'm sure your operation will be routine and you will be back in no time. Rehab is very important, the harder you work the better off you will be.
  18. Gun hunted once, my first time hunting, shot a buck and a doe three seconds apart and never hunted with a gun again. I only bowhunt now, have been for 25 years. I always left the woods when the orange army showed up because I did not feel safe. Back then it would be guy's hunting hungover or still drunk from the night before. Good luck to everyone going out and please be safe.
  19. so I can ride him out of the woods. BIG body for the New Jersey shore area.
  20. Shot this doe two weekends ago when that hurricane was getting the Jersey shore all wet. Shot it double lung at under 20 yards and watched it go down ten seconds later 40 yards away. I absolutely love hunting a light rain, I won't hunt a downpour but have waited one out for an hour, also love to hunt a snowfall. I have shot many a deer in the rain and snow and never lost one.
  21. I watch 4 out of 5 deer I shoot go down and I know they are dead and waste no time going to dress and drag. I can usually tell where I hit and know if it's a double lunger and can see the blood from the tree. The unlimited bag limit on doe in NJ gives me lot's of practical experience shooting many deer each year.
