agree to disagree. Regardless, great job on the deer!! I am out....more important things to do today like cry for awhile about that piece of dung that just got elected.

my bad. that is a nice buck! i am the one fighting for the fact that it is larger than what everyone else is saying it is!! throw me a bone. "super crappy" was in the context of giant deer and debating with biz and geno saying that there is no way it has 24". It has good mass and is a very nice buck!!
-
an average of 3" x 4 x 2 is not that much mass at all. In fact, that is super crappy. My buck in my avatar averaged almost 4.5". Go ahead and draw a 3" inch circle. its pretty tiny.
-
no problem. I score deer all the time. I score deer on my trail cameras every year and have been with in a few inches once they are on the ground. Not a hard thing in normal circumstances. he has one view, in a box, straight on. it is impossible to tell how big or smallt hat deer is. he could be 100, he could be 115. that is a minute difference since mass x 8 could be plus or minus 8" alone. The main beams could be 17" or 20" that is plus or minus another 6". etc, etc, etc.
-
main beams on a white tail are typically slighly larger than the spread. He is about 18" wide. His main beams would be 18" - 20" APPROXIMATELY.
-
I disagree, again based onthe picture. I did an average. The left side is larger than the right. he may have 8" in 2's on his left and 7" on his right, so MAYBE an 1" less. His 3"s on his left are definitely 6"! That deer maybe be 105 - 110 because the main beams are impossible to tell how long they are with a picture. other thanthat, I stand by that estiamation.
-
simple math based on a PICTURE. there is absolutely nothing to compare it to. Holding a deer in your hands and looking at a picture are 2 different ball parks. Based on that picture, that is pretty close.

So, i have a Thermos brand "thermos" (sounds funny when you say it that way) and it SUCKS!!! same thing, my stuff stays hot for a while, then is luke at best when i drink it. My brother-in-law who I hunt with bought a Themos brand from Target. It was one of the "extreme" ones. it was $28 or there abouts. It keeps things hot FOREVER!! It is ridiculous. You can quite literally put boiling water in it and it is still too hot to drink the NEXT morning! I honestly didn't believe him until the last time we hunted he actually made me try and drink it. I threw mine out and bought the same one. Best money spent ever. they still sell them at Target (I THINK it is called the "rock")

Agree with the majority above. He would score about 115 give or take: (this is just guessing based on the picture): Inside Spread - 18" G1's - 4" total (3+1) G2's - 16" total (8 + 8 ) G3's - 12" total (6 + 6) Main Beams - 40" total (20 + 20) Mass - 24" total (average 3" x 8 ) Total - 114"

Lousy morning. I got skunked.....literally had a skunk walk by me. This afternoon was great though. 2 doe, 3 button bucks, small 6, big 6 (no brows), and 2 real nice 8's that need another year. Could have shot 7 of the 9 under 30 yards. Fun day. Can't wait til tomorrow! (Still holding out for the big 11 I posted the trail camera pics of).
-
I've never missed! (But this is my 3 rd year bow hunting and haven't taken a shot either....lol. But, I can say I never missed.....lol)

UPDATE: So, thank god that the solution wasn't too complex with a day left til bow season. My GRim Reaper mechanical broadheads have a grove where the blade folds in. In 2 of the 3 groves, there was a tiny bit of foam crammed in from my target. It was causing the blade to not completely fold in and "latch" The 2 blades were flying to the target just soooo slightly open causing erratic shots. I cleaned them out and they patterned great and the same as my field tip. I almost didn't see it they were so small, but thankfully I did. Back to hunting now!
-
Lol....no worries. Thought I was losing my mind.
-
No, grim reapers are mechanical. The entry hole doesn't look like they are opening. They could be slightly though causing a weird flight. Praying for nice weather tomorrow so I can spend some time getting this figured out.

If I don't move my pins or my peep, then my line of sight stays exactly the same. Moving my rest in any direction would then cause the arrow to move in the SAME direction I moved the rest. Down would make my shot move down.
-
Correct. We were talking about moving the rest though, not the sights.
-
That was my initial thought. How would you know???
-
Not on the rest they aren't. That is just for the sights.
-
I will try that too!! Good call.
-
I will thanks. I have learned a lot this year from the people on this forum. I have lots of ideas for the off season to keep me busy.
-
You mean to the right and DOWN correct?
