Deer hunting with pistols

I carry my Smith and Wesson 686. (.357mag) with me for close shots or mainly in case I need a finishing shot. I am thinking of scoping it but just can't bring myself to do so. -
Only a muzzleloading pistol is permitted durning muzzleloading seasons. You also must have and carry a NYS pistol permit

Does anyone know why my trail camera does this?? It's a Moultrie D-55 IR I have a ton of pics like this. It doesn't matter battery life, temp, time, weather.... It does it regardless. Not all the time. Some pics are better and some are worse. Wierd
