  1. I have October 1,2,3,4 off. Gonna hunt the first and second for sure. Might save the other two days for the honey do list. When hunting season rolls around it means it is also time to start winterizing the house, yard, boat......... My bow is ready. I shoot 4-5 times a week. Good Luck to all
  2. I have yet to harvest a deer with my bow however I know that i shoot in the backyard about 4 times a week. I know my sights are on, everything is tight, no equipment excuses for me. Now I just need a deer within my comfort zone of 30 yards!
  3. No, it is a camcorder. I plan on using a tripod and a tree mounted camera arm durning the season.
  4. My only way to control my desent is to turn around and climb down my ladder carefully, hehehe
  5. I don't have $20 million, maybe I can rent a stand for a case of beer! LOL
  6. Good friend of the family shot this hog Saturday. Dressed out at 207 1/2 lbs!
  7. State land is first come first served (usually). By rights if you are there first they should move about. Opposite is also true. Good luck and shoot straight
  8. Welcome Al from one Oneida County fella to another Rick
  9. Ok, that makes more sense. I thought it was designed to grow bigger racks, thanks for the explanation
  10. What is the point to AR?? This is an honest question and I'm not looking to start a pissing match. I don't live in AR and as I've said before I am a meat hunter. spike horn or 10 point they all taste the same to me. Whats it matter how much head gear they have
  11. I inherited most of my guns. The year after my father-in-law passed away I had his 30-06 and my son with me. My son was dressed head to toe in his hunting clothes. We sat on watch for 12 minutes before the 3 point I shot stepped out at 45 yards. Gotta believe he was with us on the trip!
  12. Yeah, I would shoot him. Gun, bow, stick, rock, whatever gets the job done. LOL
  13. 1600 for me. Nice even round number. LOL
  14. Too bad about the sponsorship. In this day and age they should keep filming their hunts and put them on YouTube. True "real hunting" in my book.
  15. Good luck, I tried the lighted nocks a couple of times and never had any luck. Got sick of throwing money away. Looking foward to folling the journal.
  16. Didn't shoot today. Babysitting niece and nephew. This was yesterday though. Also 20 yards
  17. There used to be a show on local cable called "NYOutdoors" It was a real life hunting program filmed by 2 average guys (one worked for NIMO) They would hunt on State Property (and tell you where they were)They shot a 6 point one episode, probably a 60" buck and said it was a trophy because it will put meat on his table for his family! As far as Pro hunting, I think it is for entertainment only. I saw a Lee & Tiffany episode on their website about their "friend" who donates a brand new F-350 diesel to them every year. Not like they can't afford to buy one from him. (Although she does make it worth the watch)
