I was firefighter in NJ on 9/11/2001. My central NJ Fire Co. was dispatched to Hoboken, NJ to fill in for emergencies there while the entire Hoboken Fire Dept was in NYC. We rode up through Jersey City into Hoboken. I can tell you first hand I personally witness hundreds of people in the streets of both town's Muslim districts gleefully celebrating the destruction of the Trade Center towers. There was even a news report on CBS the evening of 9/11/2001 showing a video of what I witnessed. Apparently, both the state and Federal government clamped down on the reporting, claiming it would be unwise to show it as it would probably incite hatred and get a lot of Muslim's killed. No further reporting on the matter was ever done. Don't try to tell me there aren't many Radical Muslim sympathizers living in America, because I have seen them with my own eyes. And since 2001, their numbers have increased dramatically. BTW: The first trade center attack by a truck bomb in the parking garage was a plot hatched in Jersey City, NJ and that's where they arrested the blind sheik.

Some seem to forget when the original law was passed, it did so with bi-partisan support. Even when it was renewed in 2006 it had bi-partisan support. The law is not the problem. It's abuse by the executive branch is the problem. Obama has pushed the boundaries of abuse way beyond anything Bush ever did. But all of the scandals, which the media has refused to investigate or even call scandals, like NSA spying and IRS persecution, have been blamed on Bush for signing the Patriot Act into law. If Obama and the Democrats really wanted to repeal the law, they could have very easily done it in his first year in office when Democrats controlled the Presidency and both houses of Congress. But they didn't. Anyone who chooses to place blame for the law's current oppression is blinded by political propaganda. A sitting President is the only person responsible for any Patriot Act abuse during his time in office.

And spring recess fluctuates from March to April, depending on when Easter actually occurs every year. I guess Spring comes at a different time each year too. That's why they call it Spring Break, because it cannot have anything to do with a religious observance. It's timed to allow time off for it, but it cannot acknowledge it.

They are not stupid if the real objective is to ban the private possession of handguns. That must be the real motive behind the legislation, since it is proven it does nothing to lower crime. You're deluding yourself if you do not believe there are areas of France nobody not Muslim is safe. The police know it. The French government knows it. Fear of a Muslim uprising is the only thing that keeps them from addressing it.

Ok, now that you got your jollies, we all know about the Nazi's, but they were associated with Fascism more than religion. They did not use any religious teachings in their laws or their government dictates. They did not kill because of religion, they killed because of economics and vengeance. They did not quote from the Bible to force non-believers to convert to Christianity. They were a plague on the world and the whole world rallied against them to defeat them. Problem solved. Now this is the 21st century. Are you saying we should not address the Muslim issue now? Are there recent examples of true Christian atrocites coming out of the Vatican that you would care to inform everyone about?

Yes, I would say you have to point out 21st Century Radical Christians declaring war on all other religions, practicing genocide on members of other faiths and forming governments that adhere to, and abide by their murderous beliefs.

The NYC school system does not officially recognize any religious observance. They allow days off for holidays with floaters and excused absences but do not acknowledge the days they give off are for the observance of any religious holiday. That would be condoning religion, which the government cannot do. They cannot put a manger scene on the lawn, and cannot promote religion. The point being made here is, if they do the same with these two Muslim holidays they will be consistent. If they don't, they will be in violation of their own rules barring religion from schools. As an aside, how will they manage to add these two new days off to the calendar? Will they eliminate two other days off now, or will they extend the school year? I find it funny they have made these new days off official, but have not addressed how they intend to make it work.

NYC schools do not recognize religious holidays, until now. They have recesses timed to give the students days off to observe those days, but do not recognize them. I wonder what they will call the days they give off for these Muslim holidays. Why is Yom Kippur not given a day off?

Thank You Papist for pointing out the ignorance of those who think NYC schools had any holidays that were labeled religious until now. I have been busy up until now and fully expected to see the comments claiming I was wrong this morning and would have answered those posts the same way. I notice since you posted this, none of those people has addressed the issue again. I also notice many like to post insults about the Christian faith and religion in total, but like most Leftist Progressive Liberals, dare not ever post anything negative about Radical Islam, or even Islam in general. The only conclusion that can be drawn for that is they are scared to death of Muslims. When the time comes where they are forced to choose between accepting Islam or being killed, they will join the Muslims and swear total submission to all of it's religious Sharia Laws in less time than it would take to shoot them.

No other religious holidays are observed as far as I know. No prayer in school either.

The BHA is having their annual Rendezvous in two days and will be promoting this auction during the first two days of the event. I believe many interested people are holding off until the last few hours to place a bid. I expect the rifle to sell for at least $4500 in the end. The money is going to a good cause, so I'd love to see it sell for much more.
