  1. Delaware often gets hammered with deep snow. I think you would have to go at least as far as No Carolina Some of my in laws live near Dover DE and I've been stuck down there when the deep snow came in February and the roads don't get plowed for 2 days.
  2. This collection would probably give Andy the vapors.
  3. A friend out of state wants to bring his Ruger Mini-14 into NY to shoot with friends and is asking if he can only bring his 5 round mags with him. He has 10 round mags for it he wants to test and as far as I can tell they are legal in NY. He has heard about the 7 round limit in the law, but I told him I think that was shot down in court. Anyway, since the law is very hard to understand, what is a semi auto rifle mag limit now?
  4. Nope. Just calls them as he sees them and prefers not to use a lot of words when fewer will suffice. He's an engineer working on his Masters. Most youth his age wouldn't even know what it meant, like those who went to public school.
  5. Merriam-Webster is a bit more factual and concise in it's definition. "a person (especially an old man) who is easily annoyed or angered and who often complains" Dictionary.com seems to agree a bad-tempered, difficult, cantankerous person. Paula, where did you get your's from?
  6. And here I always thought it was criminals and their killings that gave guns a bad name in society. I guess what we now need is a law that says how many guns and how much ammo you can have so those people don't ruin it for the rest of us. More laws and bigger government will always be better. Pfffftt.
  7. Unfortunately, there are many guys who do need 10 bullets to kill a deer. But it's not about hunting, it's about freedom and rights. I agree the majority of NY residents didn't stop and think what that statement meant, but I can assure you, much of the rest of "free" America heard it and are determined to prevent that virus from spreading to their states. Maybe after the smoke clears, NY will get it's gun rights back, but it will only be because much of America will refuse to allow that anti-gun attitude to migrate outside the borders of NY State.
  8. This is what is so hard for me to believe. Having seen what it's like to live in a country where rights do not exist, I cannot fathom how ANY American citizen, gun owner or not, can think there is anything more important than protecting your freedom and challenging oppression. To be more concerned about trivialities like football stats or Hollywood stars, or even hunting, is a sign the political redirection policies of elected officials are working. The last thing American politicians want is people paying attention to everything they do. It's all about power and control. That power and control is supposed to be in the hands of the citizens, but many don't seem to want it. When they delegate it to politicians, they are willingly abdicating their rights and freedoms. Once that happens, they can never get them back.
  9. What do you think "well regulated" means? If someone is less skilled with a defensive firearm, they should be denied the use of it by law? What do you think will happen to them if they don't have a chance to try and defend themselves? Do you know how effective LEO's are with their shots when confronted by an armed criminal? They are highly "regulated". Should they be patrolling without a firearm if they miss under fire? Please show me the study showing the "fact" a perp will always run when confronting an armed victim. One more question, if I may. How many rounds do you think it should be legal to have in your home defense firearm?
  10. You don't mention if you were able to put some venison in the freezer. After all that hunting, did you get some reward in terms of meat in the freezer? At this point, I am looking forward to some bobcat, fox, and coyote hunting, as well as turkey season.
  11. All of this is true, but they also seem to lack any ability to make things better. I asked my 25 year old son if he knows what a Curmudgeon is. His reply, "Angry Douche". LOL!
  12. They can legally take them temporarily. But they cannot take them and KEEP them for a YEAR, with no intention or timetable to return them, without due process.
  13. This is exactly the issue here. How can you deny an American citizen a Constitutional right without due process? If no charges were ever filed to take away his 2nd Amendment right to possess firearms, taking them violates his rights. This is what worries me most about America today. Average citizens have no idea what they're rights are and assume they are granted to them by government, when in reality, they were born with them and cannot have them taken without due process. If we allow our rights to be unconstitutionally violated, we are giving them up voluntarily and they can never be regained. That's why, when we hear of cases like this, it is wiser to make the government the party that has to prove they are not guilty of violating someone's rights.
  14. If I'm not mistaken, the distances specified in the law are from any building, not just a dwelling.
  15. I also noticed they chose to call me a logger when they used my head after I forgot to flush.
  16. The one that comes out in January probably is.
  17. But they may have been spelling it "LAGER".
  18. I'm embarrassed to say I don't know what it is, especially since I've been called a logger by some women in the past.
  19. Somehow I don't think that's what growalot is anxiously waiting for Pygmy. LOL!
  20. Tell me, what is the stumpage report?
  21. I think being self described as pro-predator means you are against predator hunting. But that's just my interpretation, and I think many other hunter's would say the same. If someone using that moniker doesn't want it to be interpreted that way, they would be wise to explain themselves.
