Let's say your place was $300k in 2011, now its $450k. You have $450k to put into an upgrade next year. Had you not purchased in 2011, you'll have $300k in the bank, and with interest, probably $305k(guessing, no math done whatsoever). You would be out $145k. So since you bought in 2011, you're ahead of the game by $145k.

what part of the rut is on when rifle opens?
shawnhu replied to fearthebeard's topic in Deer Hunting
If they have permits, the DEC would know. Don't speculate, ask. -
While this is true, you still gained by not having your cash depreciate in the banks. So you're still ahead of the game, so to speak.

There's muffs that are wind resistant, and the normal ones. The wind resistant ones has a layer inside that blocks out wind, as well as noise. A nice fleece material keeps the ears warm on calm days. When its windy, you won't hear anything anyway, so wear the wind resistant ones then.

I've heard Alaskan Salmon tastes way better, since its an ocean Salmon. Smoked Salmon from VanCouver is excellent as well!

Elmo, baby haven't arrows yet, what's your excuse this time?
-
You might want to recheck your dates. Hate to see you miss your annual draft because of a date screw up.
-
If I don't have butchers lined up, I'd be hesitant to pull the trigger too. Butchering a full deer is hard work, let alone multiple. Good job on putting your foot down.

You only wanted a D loop and to tighten your sight right? If its not ready by tomorrow, I'd ask to buy D loop material, then I'd bring it to a hardware store and have someone sell you a Set of Allen's in Standard Size, not metric and ask for Blue Loctite. From there, you can give me a ring and I'll walk you through it. If you're so inclined, you can also purchase a target block at the archery store while you're at it if you wanted to paper tune. I can help you with that as well. If it can wait, purchase these materials elsewhere, as I don't usually like to give my money to businesses that don't treat their customers right. Everything can be purchased from Amazon. I'll PM you.

Good luck on the bow. I know how frustrating it can be to deal with someone else's problem. I carry a set of Allen's and blue loctite with me at all times now. Are they going to paper tune it as well? If you have some paper, Allen wrenches, and a local autozone nearby for some loctite, you can probably do everything yourself with a proper target. Let me know if it comes to that.

There's others ways that I know of, but this is a first. Will the soap cause less strikes? Do let us know.

Phade, those are good! Got any for us NYC folks?

The hick comment wasn't aimed towards you, but if the shoe fits.... We've had disagreements, and I was fine with that. Now you're just itching to bring this to another level. I've made no insults towards you, but you've made a point to clearly continue. You had the chance to drop things when the thread was closed, and now bring your personal issues to yet another thread. Next thing you know, you'll be blaming me for derailing the thread, oh too late. I see the picture. But you mistaken that picture for your .... I better not. You might really start crying.

Belo, since you seem to like taking cheap shots unwarranted, I'll comply. Here's a little reminder of how much an illegal and unethical hunter you really are. Quote from Belo reading is > then you. This is the dad of my friend growing up. He was a farmer. He had time to "thin the heard" using his tags. A farm tractor is not a motor vehicle. exactly. he can bait, spotlight, even rifle I think. Remember shawn these are huge rural farms. End Quote. Keep throwing that 120 million dollar business fortune 100 company around, it doesn't impress anyone but yourself. You're still unethical and spread illegal advice on a hunting forum.

I wasn't aware WNYBH needed mommy to come and protect him. Always thought he could hold his own, but maybe that's how it's done by your neck of the woods. Clearly displayed here, almost like pack of yotes. If WNYBH had any issues with me, I'm sure he would have sent me a PM like he always advocate or would have used his administrative powers to shut me up. Wasn't your place to open your trap. But since you chose to do so distastefully, I'll bite. Lets be honest, you have a grudge, and so does ape face. You'll take every opportunity to throw an insult. Have at it. You fellas are nothing more than a bunch of misguided children.

what the best bow pro shop in your county of NY
shawnhu replied to sweet old bill's topic in Bow Hunting
I carry a magnet around sometimes anticipating these situations. Never happens to me, but always good to have on hand. -
I've had a shop measure wrong, twice. Sometimes its better to know how to measure yourself and have a buddy verify.
-
Wow, pariah. Haha. Figured you'd go running defending your bosom buddies. Good job detailing the thread loser Larry. Say that twice fast.... Sounds good doesn't it?
-
Sure thing Belo, because I initiated the whole thing and Larry had nothing to do with it. Jump right on to the band wagon.
-
Not claiming to be a pro, just pointing out that top arrow looks off, and I've seen that from arrows shot from a bow with a knock high, or knock low bow. As far as percentages, I'd disagree. The consensus even in this thread is that "if it ain't broke" vs the "get the most" out of your bow is very obvious. An out of tune WB is forgiving, but on a drop away or prong style rest, its much more pronounced.
-
Oh, poor innocent Larry. Here's a dollar, go buy yourself a clue. The only "bud" you have is the one covering your ass time and time again. Come at me.

Is anyone else having difficulty finding an open course?
shawnhu replied to Deerthug's topic in General Chit Chat
I took my course in LI. It was quite a hike for me, but that's how bad I wanted it. Drove close to 2 hours and ended up sleeping in the car overnight in freezing temps. The instructors still remember me as the guy that slept in the car. Hope you get them in a course sooner than later. -
So how many times does this site allow racial slurs before action is taken? How many more personal insults and name calling before you do what a mod should do and stop the nonsense? So you and I don't agree on a few topics, that gives no reason for this type of bs to propagate over and over again. And when someone retaliates, they get the ban hammer, I'll be waiting.

Nice groups, too bad that top arrow's flight doesn't look like a well tuned bow. But how many WB shooters really bother to really spend the time to tune it properly?
