  1. Insults rarely work, but I know you're better than that. That's why you're a mod and your buddies aren't. But this isn't about that, its about the whisker biscuit vs the drop aways.
  2. On a farm that allows pest control.
  3. I guess if I never shot a drop away, I'd be in your shoes and buy the magical fluid for the WB as well.
  4. So what rest were you using prior to the WB with the blazers?
  5. That's true. In WNYBH's case, he never does anything besides replacing the whiskers when worn either, and making sure to use certain fletchings and avoid others, and lubing the bristles with magical fluid. Kind of reminds me when I had to replace my muffler fluid in my car when it started making noise. Same with the headlight fluid when lights go dim.
  6. You NEVER lube a drop away, some things in life don't need lubing.
  7. Thanks. How far did it take to drop 8" from 8.4 to 7.7 gpi? 20 yards? 30 yards?
  8. So the answer is....? Yes? No? Maybe so?
  9. As a bow hunter, do you measure the speed of your arrows? Do you know the total grains of arrow you are shooting? Do you think its important to know as a hunter?
  10. 10fps faster than IBO? Did their marketing team screw up or something?
  11. Looks like they are moving west.
  12. Anyone with a drop away do "maintenance" on them? I know I haven't.
  13. I'm all for a great deal and buying online most of the time, but I feel that if you use the resources of a local pro shop(testing out different bows), I'd give them first dibs on my business. If there's a bow I wanted, and I can get a new one for a great price, I'd offer the shop to see if they want to match that price. It is then their choice to have me as a customer or not. Give them a chance. Support your local pro shops. They may not be there when it comes time for your kids to try out those bows you got a chance to.
  14. I personally won't buy FOBs, I don't see a big enough benefit over vanes. But a whisker biscuit....
  15. That's a good point. But does that make them a gimmick? Most guys replace broad heads after one shot through a deer, so they are gimmicks too?
  16. Buy different vanes; buy some magical spray, etc to fix a whisker biscuit. Or just buy a different rest without these problems, easy choice for me.
  17. Congrats Elmo, another year wiser! Enjoy the last birthday before the little one changes your lives!
  18. I agree. I've introduced 3 new hunters to the sport and have personally sat in the Hunter Safety course with them to ensure they were not in this alone. We've also organized small group hunts each year to show newbies around and how to be safe with their firearms as well. Not all hunters are me, me, me, but a lot are.
  19. Tommy, not everyone can sit for hours without a butt itch....
  20. Could you also see their cleavage from your elevated truck? What color underwear?
  21. Didn't know there was a hand signal for U Turns.
