  1. We were issued 10, and when we called to ask for more, we were given another 10 and that there's "plenty more". I take that as indefinite until they run out of paper.
  2. We have unlimited tags, so far. I don't shoot to wound if that is what you are implying.
  3. I'm not a farmer, but I am a shooting agent and authorized to do so. This has nothing to do with YOUR hunting season. We CAN shoot fawns as well, but I choose not to. They can survive pretty well and will group with other does.
  4. Sure thing. I'll see you back at your racist jokes thread.
  5. Belo, the permit is to destroy deer, not hunt them for food. Thanks.
  6. Relax! We kept the good parts! There were just too many, and no where to put the rest. Btw, this isn't really hunting, more like target practice and practice of field dressing.
  7. Is he superman or something? Pretty sure Tommy has nothin to hide, unlike some tough guys on this forum.
  8. Got 4 does yesterday, all head shots. There was so much cleaning to do, we ended up just tossing the garbage, like the back straps and loins. Kept the ribs though!
  9. I have no sympathy for people that don't cherish their own lives, like this kid that was shot. Just another menace off the streets.
  10. It wouldn't surprise me if they were. I've seen some pretty interesting names of Asians as well as other ethnicities as well. So all of you feel it's ok to make fun of these Asian folks in a time like this?
  11. DW, you're still around? Amazing. If you think questioning the media and finding out the truth is distasteful, then you really are a hopeless... I'll let you fill in the rest. PS, it only took you a few minutes to chase me down, get a life.
  12. It's pretty obvious fun is being made of the names of these pilots. Normally, it probably wouldn't be a big deal, but when people are injured and dead, really? How's folks feel if other nations made fun of a victim named Richard "Dick" Hardman as a result of the 911 attacks? Real classy. Asians are not the only ones with names that sound funny. Very distasteful IMO.
  13. Maybe I'm missing something here, but didn't this flight go down, and people died? Could someone point out exactly what is funny about this?
  14. I'm not sure if the shotgun permit requires the courts of NYC, but I hope you get the answer you are looking for.
  15. We usually stay in Putnum and Orange County, but have been looking to venture into Sullivan in time. I'm currently a meat hunter, not looking to go after any trophy mature bucks.
  16. Are those counties under AR?
  17. Wait, how is Stewart only 30 mins away?!?
  18. Buy the wife a a pair of diamond earrings and all will be good. PS, Elmo's advice is spot on.
  19. One reason why I haven't gotten into waterfowl is because there are so many damn rules! But Stewart has some areas for waterfowl. Good luck fellow Boogy Downer.
  20. Hi Vince, all very good questions. I started hunting not too long ago, and had similar questions. First things first, to hunt Sterling, you will need a parking pass, its $5 for us hunters an that'll enable you to park there during hunting season. To hike, you do not need this parking pass. This pass will be good for both small and big game. Secondly, firearms are not permitting in Sterling until November I think. Despite the season opening for small game opening early September, you will not be allowed to hunt there with a gun. I do believe a bow is OK, starting Oct 1st. You'll have to look that up or someone here can chime in on the exact details. The other popular spot for hunting is Stewart State Forest located in Windsor township in 3M. This area does not allow the possession of rifles and there are special parking rules that must be obeyed as it does get crowded during small game and big game seasons. During big game, you are allowed to drive into the forest and the hike is relatively short. I hope this can steer you away from trouble and get you started.
