Yes, 2 chances from like and share. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems -
Some of the responses from this thread makes me wonder why it's ok to shoot and not utilize pigeons but not ok to do the same for other nuisance animals. I'd gladly eat pigeon, they're excellent roasted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No, the problem is when those that won't/can't decides to look upon those that can/will as someone beneath them. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://Facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Does it really matter what I think about headshots? This thread is obviously one created for the sole purpose for those that don't to hate and belittle those that do. In my book, if a hunter has the confidence and ability to legally and ethically take down a deer with a headshot, he has every right to do so. I certainly wouldn't advocate it to most of the hunters on this forum, as most can't hit the side of a barn. We've had our disagreements, but if you are trying to bait me into a low-ball back and forth insult contest, save yourself the trouble. If you want an adult discussion/debate, I'll be glad to oblige. It's only bow ONLY for deer. Like I've said before, there's only 3 areas that I know of that limits the use of a rifle, and that's Westchester, NYC, and LI. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://Facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Clay birds are 4" or so, and I would probably say at 300 yards, it shouldn't be too difficult without wind. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://Facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Not your friend, not even close. You can take your "thesis" and shove it. I feel sorry for your patients already. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://Facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

That's all I hear from the LI guys I've encountered that hunts. All they want are the big racks, and the bragging rights associated with it. If there were more meat hunters hitting LI, maybe this problem wouldn't be as dire. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://Facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

I highly doubt that. I know 2nd graders than can spell and form better sentences than you. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://Facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Wife has the first generation kindle, won it at some kind of online give-away. She loves reading her free books on there. She has the free 3G Internet version. Most of my learning is from doing and watching, so watching videos on an iDevice suits me more. But if she enjoys reading, Kindle is the way to go. Saw this video, and learned a few techniques from it. Haters will be haters. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://Facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Definitely seems like we're not talking about the same state. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://Facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

It's awesome to hear that some take shooting and practice seriously. I could never get a gun I'm not comfortable shooting all day long. For every game animal I take, I've probably shot 30 rounds at the range for that one shot at game. For a 200 yard Rimfire, I would have to recommend the .17 HMR or the .17 WSM. Good job on dropping both your targets, and nice work on the headshot. A lot of haters here when it comes to headshot deer. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://Facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

I imagine you may be disappointed in the 200+ results. The .22 mag just wasn't designed with that kind of range in mind, reliably. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://Facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

I had first hand experience of this type of mentality over the thanksgiving holidays. I was over at my sister's and was talking with my brother-in-law. He's ex-military, as all Israeli are. He's very good with his hands, and hence I brought up the subject of guns. I was immediately silenced about the subject, as my sister didn't want her children to hear about it. The little ones are 6 and 2. We later proceeded to talk in "code" and never mentioned "shooting" or "guns", but she figured it out and shut that down as well. It wasn't until we went to my cousins place that we were able to "escape" her evil grasp, since my cousin's place is loaded with assault type arms such as mac10, ak, and many high power revolvers. We had a great time there talking ballistics and gun history. Some people are so scared of guns, it's down right scary. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://Facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

B., I can't speak on lurking's behalf, but for coon and fox sized game, a Polymag out if a 40 FPE .25 cal air gun can effectively be shot in the heart/lungs for a high chance of recovery. For coyote sized game, I wouldn't take a body shot if tracking is questionable(no snow or heavy brush). A body shot from a Polymag in .25 on a coyote surely won't end well for the critter, but there's no "shock" to drop the yote in its tracks like a powder burner can. In that case, I'd opt for a penetrating round, such as the Benjamin Domes or JSB Kings. H&N also makes a few quality pointed pellets as well. The target would be the head. Have you shot a .22 mag at 200 yards? What were the groupings like? If I can accurately throw a rock at a yote's head, I could kill one with that too. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://Facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Wish I could join you out there, but funeral arrangements comes first for me. Maybe next week. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://Facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
