Location fields in profile, why don't people use them?
shawnhu replied to bluecoupe's topic in General Chit Chat
That reminds me of that time that dude wanted all your hunting spots. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems -
Do you'd rather him accidentally shoot something(or someone) than dry fire if the mechanical device fails? From the factory, our bows are dry fired and tested to comply to specific tolerances before damage is done to the bow. A single dry fire from a failed release won't kill you, or the bow. But a loaded arrow might. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://Facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

You did the right thing, better to let them walk away unharmed than rush a shot you second guess. I'm glad you've taken away something from your first experience, can't say much do these days. You're OK in my book! X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://Facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

How many are aware of this law?
shawnhu replied to nyantler's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
Knew about this, this is a new law for 2013-2014 season. Prior to this, it was Rimfire ONLY in a shotgun ONLY deer hunting area until the deer season was over, then CENTERFIRE would be allowed, in rifle friendly counties. It's not really confusing, if you take the punctuation into account with the AND or ORs. In summary, they expanded the previous law in shotgun only areas to include centerfire .22 and under to be used for some small game. Goals considered, I had a good season. I saw more deer than last, and was able to get out while I could. Predictions of available time to hit the woods was on target, and I wasn't short changed. There were a few high reaching goals I set for myself this season that I may not meet, but that's how I challenge myself. My season isn't over yet, still have a few weeks yet still. But I'm already looking forward to getting back to small game and the off-season practice. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://Facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Used bows are way cheaper than new, but if you want the service and support that comes with new, check out your local bow shops. Used, try archery talk. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://Facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Big K never ices up, hence no ice fishing there allowed. I also believe NC isn't allowed either. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://Facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Anyone else find something wrong with filling a bow tag in the regular season other than me? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://Facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

I technically paid $18 out of pocket for my Muck Arctic Sport from LL Bean and just got them delivered yesterday. With the sale they just ran, and the points collected in my Discover, it was a no brainer. Even got a $10 GC for my next purchase, so it came out to be $8 for a $155 boot. He was originally right. If you shoot a doe, I'd use the ML tag. If you shoot another doe, then I'd use the regular tag. The regular tag is good for both in late season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Bushnell Trophy cam problem
shawnhu replied to ATbuckhunter's topic in Trail Camera Reviews and Info
My trophy cam wont open up the setup screen. Before it stopped opening the screen, it would change the dates every sequence of pics and it wouldn't let me change any settings or anything but it was still taking pictures. I decided to leave it out another week and here I am with this problem. Have any of you had this problem before...if so is there a way to fix it or is the cam toast? I had this cam since Dec of 2010 but I didn't put it out until October 2011. You are most likely still under warranty, call Bushnell right away and see of they'll replace it for you. They did mine when it happened. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
You'll need to purchase the Muzzle Loader privilege to use your regular season tag. That tag then becomes an either sex tag. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The tag is still good for the rest of the season, if one plans on shooting in ML season. Please give the correct info to new hunters. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

SteveC's shotgun shoots better than my .243 Savage. There, I said it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If someone is going to state a buck is this age, or score this much, or weigh that much, they should be able to back it up with some actual measurements. If you didn't want to be questioned, don't state the measurements. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hit the range today to break in these "toys". 100 yards with very low winds today. The .243's still got a ways to go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
