I hope you don't end up paying for 2 And only end up one coming back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've hit Canarsie as well as Owl's head in Brooklyn/Queens. I've heard of stories of big catches, but so far, nothing close to what Magnolia produced when I was there. This is all first hand experience, which isn't much. I did have some success on the Western Sound last year. Much closer to home than the alternative. Thanks for thinking of me B, look forward to actually do some catching instead of watching the trees grow while deer hunting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm sure taxes went up during super storm Sandy as well. Gas prices soured to record levels in the city, must have been a temporary tax hike for those few months. (Insert sarcasm here). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

His suspension has nothing to do with it. You alone have cursed and called others names more times than I care to remember, but yet you're still here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Right, we all know your views on obeying the law. No need to constantly restate it to justify you bending the rules that govern our sport. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

To tag it in the ML with the regular season tag. Just playing devils advocate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don't have any TV service, I rely solely on my Internet and this website for my entertainment. Saves me a TON it would seem from all the bitching you guys do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Paula, I didn't look at that page, but I'm pretty confident that you do NOT need to purchase a separate ML privilege to use one in REGULAR season. During REGULAR season, one can use any legal hunting implement to harvest a big game animal, ML included. The only exception is local ordinance, such as no rifles in certain counties and such. As far as I know, anywhere that allows shotguns for deer harvest will allow ML as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So can you shoot a doe the day before, track it the next morning and tag it with the regular season tag? It's an either sex at that point! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think it was savage that offers a youth model that can be upgraded free to a full size model(stock exchange). I'm not sure if this applies to shotguns. Perhaps worth looking into. They have the Stevens combos as well. The .410 is a great little caliber, but I view it more of an adult caliber, with some practice under the belt and knowing when to take a shot and when not to, for the sake of the game animal. I feel it's more of a disciplinary round. As a youngster, I recall getting hurt all the time, but that never stopped us from having fun. Make it fun, and the 20 gauge won't be an issue. That's a great deal! I just shot a few break-in rounds of my new model 11 yesterday. Fog was so thick I was only able to shoot at 50 yards. Hope yours shoot straight! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hand Em in NYC Residents
shawnhu replied to wooffer's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Probably due to the huge influx of gun owners and NYPD's massive mailings of "comply or confiscate" letters recently. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Shoot some trap and skeet over by Thunder Mountain. It's right by the border of NY and NJ, and they are great there. If you want some experience with rifles and pistols, no better to start with than a .22 LR. If I had one, I'd let you shoot mine. If you ever do purchase a rifle or shotgun, the guys over at the small bore at Blue Mountain Sportsman Center is top notch. They'll spend the time with you to make sure you're safe. No additional charge. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've probably dropped $200+ on ammo for my new cal rifle already, and haven't even shot it once yet. Hope I find a cheap accurate bullet this rifle likes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No room to reload my own. Always wondered why no one ever sold any reloads, being illegal would do it. Mods please close the thread.

Anyone in the business of selling reloaded ammo? I know a few folks on here reload. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Suffolk is a bit of a long stretch to be considered one WMU, IMO. Most folks that hunt the island that I have encountered would say the same thing about taking does, and that is they won't be taking as many this year due to elimination of either sex bonus tags. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for that explanation. If these farmers are not willing to allow hunters access to clean up their nuisance mess, they shouldn't be asking the state to foot the bill to hire shooters. Why would the DEC allow this and not encourage permission? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
