    knives

Best all-around knife: my Schrade (USA) Signature pocket stockman...Best whitetail knife: my Schrade Lil Finger...Best new knife tried lately: EKA Swede 8 w/orange scales.
  2. Another thought: Check the amount of cotton in your jacket material. A lot of cotton will soak up a lot of moisture.
  3. Nope....not trying to be funny. I have seen cheap orange vests that did not breathe very well. Touchy, aren't you?
  4. Both the West Branch and the East Branch are "abnormal rivers"....They are kept abnormally high and cold by reservoir releases. Some trout fishermen thinks that great....Others, such as I do not! Consider this: If by some means, the temperature of these rivers were raised the same amount that the reservoirs lower it, fishermen would be screaming, "Thermal Pollution!" But fisherman, particularly well-off fly fisherman think the abnormal stream temps. of the Delaware branches is just ducky. They may, in fact, be better for trout fishing, but these rivers do not support the varied recreational experiences that existed in the past. When will we learn....all reservoirs ain't good?
  5. Here's a question for you: Does that blaze orange vest that you wear over everything breathe?? Maybe the change to a new super-breathable vest would solve your problem.
  6. The .35 Rem. is a great NE deer round. Best deer hunters in my family use them: Son uses an old Rem. 141 pump....Grandson uses the Marlin 336. Both put meat on the table regularly!
  7. Snowshoe hares are great eating. We bone out all the meat...Cook backstaps with no tenderizing by frying or in stews...The hoppers require tenderizing with a meat mallet; then they can be fried or stewed as well...Delicious!!!
