Gun Control Bill Headed To The Senate
Grouse replied to Steve D's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Making your rifle compliant makes you a gun owner who complied under duress. I don't believe it is constitutional to force people to do anything under duress. And many people won't. I suggest NOBODY who wants to retain their rights EVER vote for ANY Democrat. I take it a step further. I refuse to associate with, or even be kind to, anyone that tells me they voted for Democrats and refuses to see the error of their ways when I explain this issue to them. They are the problem and that is where we need to start fighting this idiocy. Start drawing the line in the sand and start defending your rights. As far as the rest of the non-compliance goes, you need to decide if you want to live on your knees or fight standing up. Every man must decide for himself how much he is willing to tolerate and how much he's willing to lose. The founders risked their lives for freedom and many lost. Ever read up on what happened to the signers of the Declaration of Independence? That was the price of freedom. -
The virus was not the impetus for all the new gun buyers and huge demand for ammo. It was the riots, looting and lawlessness that put fear into the hearts of the unarmed. And a lot of that started in 2018. Hell, it was even starting to happen under Obama. The left was responsible for all of that, besides the lock downs and economic ruin.

I see what your mindset is and understand your issue. Regardless of the motivation, it's all unconstitutional, none of it can be justified and citizens of this land, as far ahead as our great grandchildren, should not be saddled with the debt created by fiscal mismanagement of private unions. If people understood the real nightmare of total economic collapse, they wouldn't think the govt has unlimited revenue to work with. Life will be very tough under Martial Law.

It's the law of supply and demand. If the shop was only charging $10 a box of 5 slugs, they would be gone in a few hours and the rest of the folks needing slugs would be SOL anyway. The left created the increased demand for guns and ammo with riots, looting, crime increases, felons released and their constant cries to take away people's right to own a gun. That causes high demand, and that increases the prices. Can't blame the small shop owners. They are in business. They're not non-profits or charities. Smart gun owners have been stocking up for years and have enough already to not need to buy anything at this time. These prices will not come down until people stop agreeing to pay these high prices.

Anything any elected clown gives you is a privilege, not a right. If they gave it to you, they can take it from you too. Leftists think they are free when the govt allows them to do drugs, cross dress and marry their same sex partner. That's exactly the way the left wants you to think, so you won't realize real freedom has been taken from you. Americans are voluntarily giving up their rights and freedom. That's the only way the govt can legally take them from you. The mindset that gives up personal responsibility and freedom, in exchange for a nanny state that keeps it's people in a stupor, is child like. -
How Congress Exacerbated Union Pension Crisis Under Guise of Coronavirus Relief By 2017, years before the COVID-19 pandemic, these plans had already accumulated $673 billion in unfunded liabilities, spread across almost 1,400 plans and 10.8 million workers and retirees. Many of those plans have continued to deteriorate in value even as the S&P 500 has increased more than 50%. If Congress bails out private-sector unions, will it then say “no” to retired teachers and firefighters, who are part of state and local governments’ $4 trillion to $5 trillion in pension shortfalls? https://www.dailysignal.com/2021/03/12/how-congress-exacerbated-union-pension-crisis-under-guise-of-coronavirus-relief/?utm_source=TDS_Email&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=CapitolBell&utm_content=httpswwwdailysignalcom20210312howcongressexacerbatedunionpensioncrisisunderguiseofcoronavirusreliefutmsourcerssutmmediumrssutmcampaignhowcongressexacerbatedunionpensioncrisisunderguiseofcoronavirusrelief&mkt_tok=ODI0LU1IVC0zMDQAAAF7xzt0mIqNG_KutIC0Y16d-4pLw9mNAslfQv5A1H7bGInEFp1NcewsTBjZqFVbbQgacL6is2lIi2HtAGt2eLMonXdSAG_EPHtutE-ovMLjN9mqeRM

Herd Immunity vs. Perpetual Fear

Mark Alexander THE DEVASTATING PRICE OF INEFFECTIVE LOCK DOWNS The waxy automaton Joe Biden read a prepared national address last night on the one-year anniversary of the ChiCom World Health Organization's declaration of the ChiCom Virus pandemic. His handlers chose this date for Biden to insist he saved the nation, despite the fact that WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus was conspiring with Red China dictator Xi Jinping to conceal the outbreak — until China was in a position to maximize the damage to the U.S. economy. By extension, of course, China maximized the devastation not just to American lives and livelihoods but to those of other nations. Last year, we published a link to the Great Barrington Declaration, a prophetic condemnation of the current lockdown strategies being mandated by many U.S. state governors and leaders around the world. The authors, infectious disease epidemiologists and scientists, noted, "Current lockdown policies are producing devastating effects on short and long-term public health." The Declaration concluded: "Those who are not vulnerable should immediately be allowed to resume life as normal. Simple hygiene measures, such as hand washing and staying home when sick should be practiced by everyone to reduce the herd immunity threshold. Schools and universities should be open for in-person teaching. Extracurricular activities, such as sports, should be resumed. Young low-risk adults should work normally, rather than from home. Restaurants and other businesses should open. Arts, music, sport and other cultural activities should resume. People who are more at risk may participate if they wish, while society as a whole enjoys the protection conferred upon the vulnerable by those who have built up herd immunity." Prophetic indeed — and the Declaration has been signed by 13,000 medical and health scientists and more than 41,000 healthcare practitioners. One of the principal authors of that study, Stanford University Medical School professor Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, recently noted the lockdowns are the "biggest public health mistake we've ever made. ... The harm to people is catastrophic." He reiterated this week: "Lockdowns are the single worst public health mistake in the last 100 years. We will be counting the catastrophic health and psychological harms, imposed on nearly every poor person on the face of the earth, for a generation. At the same time, they have not served to control the epidemic in the places where they have been most vigorously imposed. In the US, they have — at best — protected the 'non-essential' class from COVID, while exposing the essential working class to the disease. The lockdowns are trickle down epidemiology." As I noted again yesterday in my condemnation of Swamp Doctor Anthony Fauci, nobody should be listening to anything he says, and "never again should we quarantine the most healthy among us and shutter businesses across the nation." -

You know nothing about me pal. I work in rehab and see tons of people who are stoners and even have "medical mj" permission, but NONE of them have any real medical issues that pot can cure or alleviate. If anything it just makes them apathetic about their issues. Doctors are writing med mj prescriptions like they are handing out candy for everything from "anxiety" to "pulled muscles". It a joke! Most of my clients have no desire to make anything of themselves in this world and smoking pot only exacerbates their lack of motivation. They are in rehab for a reason and their numbers are increasing. Now there are responsible recreational pot heads in this country that manage to stay out of trouble. But there are going to be many more problem pot heads if they make weed legal. I personally don't think it should be illegal and an offense that has jail as a penalty, but there will be problems when it's legal. To deny that is ignorant and clueless. You OK with your kids smoking pot in the future? Do you think that will enhance the quality of their lives and help them be successful? What really galls me is people voted for leftist dictators, that are going to ruin our freedoms and remove our rights, because they want to sit around stoned and play video games. Right there we have a major impact on the lives of ALL Americans because people want legal pot. The prior discussion about gun rights is a real issue that is already being enforced. Just hope it doesn't bite you in the azz anytime soon. I crack you up? I don't find your opinion on this issue funny at all. -

They're RIGHTS, not privileges! And I for one will not allow them to be unconstitutionally taken from me by any law that is legally void because it violates the 2nd Amendment and my constitutional rights. I WILL NOT COMPLY! The founders would have been shooting by now. Too many gun owners today are letting this stuff happen without a fight. -

Biden IS a bad guy and always has been. For almost 50 years he's been corrupt and devious, destroying a lot of people's freedom and their careers for political gain. Now he's just a senile bad guy with a lot more power, being controlled by even badder people. -

They do not work to prevent viral transmission. That is a fact. Medical proof study on the subject: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4480558/ Sorry to stop this here VH, but I see no reason to debate this with you, as you are not open to factual discussion on the subject. Your mind is made up and closed. Fare well out there. -

Every thing the govt does affects me. How much just remains to be seen. When people start getting killed on the road by people high on weed, that will affect me. When worker productivity drops on the job, that affects me. When my grandkids find it easier to get, that affects me. When a hunter is high and thinks I'm a deer, that affects me. Your desire to smoke weed is blinding you to future ramifications. If you could guarantee society all weed users will be 100% responsible, then you could say it won't affect others in the least. But I don't think that can be done. Alcohol is legal, but we all know that it affects others a lot. Would legal weed be any different? -

BS! We claimed the media's handling of the info was a hoax and provided the science that masks don't work, all the while demanding the most vulnerable needed to be protected without destroying the economy and the lives of the hundreds of millions who were not in danger. The jackasses are the people so afraid of a virus with a 99.95% survival rate, they allowed the govt to remove the right to live as they wished without penalty. Never in the history of this land have we ever done any of this extreme BS during a pandemic. It was done this time for two very specific reasons. To get Trump out of power and increase the size of government and it's control of our lives. And with all of that, many people still died. That's how effective the plan was and still is. Fear is a very powerful tool to control the masses and the govt is well aware of it. You apparently aren't. -

OK. Believe it at your own peril. Did you see the journalistic bias against Trump? Biden couldn't remember the name of his defense secretary the other day. -

And those are the people who should've been protected. Instead the govt watered down their protection by making everyone comply with useless demands. WTF is wrong with you that you cannot comprehend that? Stop being such a compliant sheep. Your compliance is destroying other people's lives. -

No, the media is purposefully ignoring all of the Democrat scandals. What Trump scandals? The one's the left made up without any evidence to prove them?
