Since I don't have a doe tag (my brother used the one we had, first deer too!), really looking forward to Muzzle Wish there was more then one weekend, but, its always a great time.

Yeah I'm guessing once convicted they loose it for at least a few years. But if they are a poacher I hardly think they are worrying about their license.

I always use an ATV to drag out the deer, thats why I have the thing. And we use to to go in sometimes too, we drop the ATV's off 1/2 mile in because the walk sucks (all uphill). When its nice and cold out, the walk is great, however during the warmer times its not worth it to be all sweaty for no reason at all. Last Friday, my brother got his first Doe. I walked out got the ATV, drove up, gutted the deer with him, tossed it on the ATV and had it hanging and hosed out 10 min later, it was a beautiful thing.

Yeah classic BS, wouldn't expect anything else.

Whats on your Christmas / Holiday Wish List this year? My wife never knows what to get me... No hunting stuff this year, I'm good for now. So I ended up asking for a Tablet (not an iPad like the rest of the world has). Figured it'd be good to take on trips and for reading the forum before passing out in bed. I could use a new scope though... Hrmmmm my birthday is only 3 days after Xmas.

We spent the weekend at the cabin for thanks giving, family came up, it was a great time. My brother has been hunting pretty hard this year during bow and rifle. We got one DMP for 3H, I really wanted him to use it for his first deer... Finally Friday afternoon around 3:30 he had 3 does come in at about 75 yards and 110 yards... He picked the biggest doe (the one at 110 yards) and put a perfect shot on her. It went maybe 10 yards and dropped.... He did an awesome job gutting it with a very little guidance... We had a blast! Hopefully this weekend one of us can get a buck

Regarding building one, i built a wood one which hands down has been my fav stand EVER... Roomy, sturdy, and you can build your seat and rails any height you want. Plus its safe (treated wood, lag bolted ladder, lag bolted to tree, with a supporting safety wood under it lag bolted to the tree. The alternative is to get a 2 man ladder stand for 99 bux right now at dicks, they are on sale. I'd take my wood stand of those any day, and it will outlast it too.
