  7. http://www.poconorecord.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20101119/NEWS/11190341/-1/NEWS01 OH MY! The Pennsylvania Game Commission confirmed that David Price of Barrett Township killed the 17-year-old bruin, which had an estimated live weight of 879 pounds. The bear had a field-dressed weight of 744 pounds.
  8. Since you already got a buck on the land near you, I'd go to the club. Plus its fun to hang with a group.
  9. Hahah, "At least we are seeing something with animals"... Good luck in NY.
  10. Whats even more surprising is the comments on the article.
  11. Got to work extra early this morning.... would love to get outa here in a few hrs :
  12. Batteries - Cars / Atv's / Whatever that you don't use a lot, do you charge them with one of those slow / maintenance chargers? I kick myself now, I have a project car I've been working on. I bought a brand new battery about 9 months ago, and never thought to hook up a slow charger to it. More then likely I've ruined a good $90 battery because of that mistake. I bought this tonight : http://batterytender.com/battery-tender-plus-12v-at-1-25a.html - So, I'll hook it up once it arrives, I got it off amazon for $40. Hopefully I can revive this battery, if not it will be used on the next one. Stupid me, I never though of getting one before hand. And now that I am thinking, I think I might get a solar one for my ATV, and rig it to my shed for year long maintenance and prevent the draining that kills batteries. Live and Learn I guess...
  13. Really Really Really thinking about just leaving work @10am and get in the woods by 1:30 for an afternoon hunt... Backing bow just in case if I can.
  14. Those hunting shows, although fun to watch, are not reality. I actually wish they showed more of the other aspects of hunting. One show I watched recently was actually pretty good, buck commander, it showed some of the other aspects of hunting. None the less the old tops I hunt with pass along the traditions. Although some bow hunt, they consider the gun season to be the "Real" season. And along with that they bring the stories and memories. I've only hunted for 17 years, however I can see the changes that have occurred. It's not as accepted as it was then in the more urban area's, but that has no effect on us keeping the traditions going. And hopefully, once I have kids, is something I will pass on as well.
  15. LOL, trick is, you don't let her see that! Welcome to the site, and good luck!
