Haha nice I just noticed the t-shirt!

Since they introduced Oct 1st as the opener I never get to be in the woods on opening day for Bow Season. However, I always get up there for the opening weekend. Taking off Friday and heating up Thursday night, can't wait! Good luck all.

The worst, sorry ladies, is when you feel a blowout coming on... Just saying, because, climbing down out of a tree then doing a duck walk as far as you can make it while sweat is pouring down your face praying nothing bad happens really, really, really SUCKS. THEN there is the fear of forgetting the toilet paper all the ways back at your stand or not having any at all. Been there done that!

What have you done this year to prepare for the 2013 season?

I'll kick this off... I have not had much time to get up to my property because of the newborn. However, I did get up two weeks ago and going up again this weekend. My buddy fairgame helped me out BIG time, and put some railings on my platform stand that is a never ending project. It's really a rifle only stand with intentions of having a nice big platform to bring either new hunters or my kids on some day. The other thing we finally put up was a hanging station, we had a 6x6 post left over from construction. Bought a crank, pulley and cable from tractor supply and tossed a 6x6x12 post we had leftover into a few bags of concrete. It should support 500+ pounds for when i get that bear too -
what part of the rut is on when rifle opens?

Ok everyone relax... Things go off topic all the time. -
Since I already went off topic in my above post, low carb diets starve cancer. My uncle has the same, he is younger then your grandfather i'm sure, but the same still applies. Healthly high fat low carb diets have show to actually slow down / stop the spread of cancer. Sugar and processed garbage does bad stuff as delicious as it is.

Just to note, since I've been on a health kick since Jan 1 and read WAYYYYYYYYY to much into things then I needed to (OCD?). Being SKINNY does not equal Healthy Being "FAT" does not equal Unhealthy FATTY foods are actually good for you, you know like steak, pork, bacon and butter. The things the Gov't tells you to east sparingly... Just keep that in mind while you eat your grains, pasta, bread, and rice which according to them should make up a majority of your servings per day. This alone is why I will never, ever trust one thing Gov't says.

Today 8/12/2013 DMP's are available... Did you get your area?
burmjohn replied to burmjohn's topic in Deer Hunting
I wonder how that works though. Say you are a land owner with > 50 acres and they are set to only give out 3000 for the WMU. Land owners are guaranteed unless the area is set for "None". Or even this scenario - what if your in an area with Pref Points needed and only 3000 are avail? The way I see it, the earlier you grab it the better in a low DMP avail area, no? -
better dump your ammo stockpile

And i'm 99.9% sure they are not walking into dicks to buy ammo. -

Agree 100% - read it quite often. -
Just don't put any deer crossing signs up, and they will have to stay on your land.
