I never can seem to remember to update my journal, however lets give it another shot for 2013. First off, I can't believe its here already. I did *some* minor work off season this year, time was tight with work and a newborn added to the family. I did get to work on a few of my treestands. My wood platform stand is almost done, and I tossed up a new bow only stand. The bow only stand is off a nice deer trail with lots of activity, hoping to bring in a closer shot for bow season. I will not be using this stand for rifle, it has limited views and the neighbors rifle hunt. One of their stands is about 150 yards away, right on the property line of course. Heading up this Thursday night for my Bow opener! The "almost done" platform stand The new hanging station:

100% is not reporting a kill. Most annoying / disturbing to me is shots before and after Light (I'm talking DARK, no natural light at all).

I still can't believe i'm the only one that was 100% honest in this thread. You can't tell me squirrels are worse then what I described,they are annoying but...

Man I hope they make their way down into Sullivan. I can't recall exactly what the article was but there were some reports of movement across the delaware river near me. It could be complete BS, but hey there is hope!

I'm not sure why people are so upset about the weather. My old man see's the same deer moving, on the lawn, about the property regardless of temps. Sure they might move a bit more during the colder temps, but is 10 or 15 degree's really going to make a difference? And yes, I'm going commando!

Maybe my wife wouldn't be so mad at me when I disappear during hunting season if I hunting on the Island... If I only had a spot to hunt! (not looking at you Geno I swear!)
