that perp was killed by the trooper he shot. So he was well taken care of -
I wonder how much computer time they get every day at the asylum
-
me either. I may have a new hunting buddy.

if you do not respond to the blatant for lack of a better word foolishness, it will go away. Like all other posts he has nothing to add to it, he just attacks all who respond in one way or another.
-
as I said a few posts ago, he is just looking for responses so he can have the longest arguing thread.

I go online and buy the seasoning packets. I have a friend grind mine with the seasoning and some bacon to let it cook better. I go to the grocery store and buy bulk breakfast sausage and mix about 1/4 store sausage with my venison. I tried vacuum sealing patties and it did not work as well as sealing in bulk and making patties when I unthaw it.

Article on Black Powder volume vs weight.

yes BH 209 is hotter. I went form a 100 grain load of 777 to 87.5 grains of bh 209 (60 grains by weight) and had better results and a bit hotter according to my chronograph. It is nitro cellulose based, which basically mit is very much like smokeless powder., and does shoot hotter. -
ok waiting for the phone to ring

now there is a good story.

almost wish I could go back to sleep to have more.

How many loads and different components did you try. When I am trying to copy a load per say, I go to their website (hornady) and look up the ballistics on the shell. I then do some research and find a powder that gets me the closest as well as measure OAL of the factory ammo and copy it. Oh and BTW just my opinion, but a 2 inch group at 100 yards is more than acceptable IMHO.

Morning Paula. Did you sleep well.

I can see this running into a bo thread. I went on a motorcycle poker run yesterday well over 200 bikes. There was a guy in a pair of shorts and sandals riding a very nice harley. There were kids in shorts in crotch rockets wearing just shorts passing everyone jumping in and out of formation. There were also guys wearing colors in leather head to toe and looked like they were not friends with a shower. I guess I am saying it takes all kinds. Just because a guy is in camo head to toe and carrying a firearm we do not choose to use, does not make him a bad hunter. We should examine ourselves a little before we make these posts. Or we should stop trying to bait people to see if we can get the longest bash thread record.

what problems please be more specific rather than paint with your broad general brush. I know you have been chomping at the bit for someone to ask
-
I would detain them and call the law. They would be trespassing on my land

I always weigh my loads. I did not find my accuracy to improve any, but I know everyone is the same. Consistency is the key to working up a good load. -
you are welcome any time

The trips to my family hunting camp as a kid got me started. Both my parents hunted although my Mom spent more time carrying her 30-30 in the woods then she ever actually hunted. The good food, fun and fellowship had me hooked. We had 40 acres surrounded by public access land in the edge of the adirondacks. My Dad and uncles got the property on a 99 year lease and built a camp. Long story short the under age girl who inherited the property did not want to sign it over as agreed when she became of age, so we lost it. It tore my mom and dad apart when that happened. I worked hard to build my camp and have a place to go. My parents both died before they ever got to go there and see it. Neither of my grown daughters have an interest in hunting or the outdoors, so I teach hunter ed classes and mentor young people as my way to pass along the traditions and heritage. Sounds sappy I know, but that is the way it is. My door is open to pretty much anyone who wants to hunt. I am afraid when I die, my kids will sell it all. Hopefully someone who appreciates it as much as I do will get it.

if you look back it always seems to be the same ones who want to argue for illegal and unethical hunting. Hmmmmm says a lot

funny part is I am sure when everyone saw my name they had to look because they were sure someone was either telling me I am an instructor or an idiot. BTW I do not PM and tell.
