If that means big bodied bucks, I am there. If it means big antlered mediocre bucks, probably not so much. As I have stated before I hunt big bucks, but it is more body size than antler mass.

It actually never closes. It is a year round place. Some guys use it in winter to snowmobile. Then I am there pretty uch every weekend sometime. It is only 18 miles from my house, so it is convenient.

nope not me. Not putting a tag on my back. Here in the frozen north, we do not have to do that either. I am not sure why, but I have a theory. I will keep it to myself, so I do not start another war. I will say it goes along the same premise as all the other "safety and protection" the state and everyone thinks we need.

And back to the original post, the idiot took responsibility for his actions and saved us a lot of money for a trial. Is the penalty stiff enough? Not even close. But it is what it is.

I WARNED you. You are not an instructor are you? If so, you are not allowed this opinion. Just remember they base their beliefs and opinions on where everyone either gets shot at, or claim they were shot at on a regular basis. They must all be pretty bad shots, as those who get shot at are rarely hit. They do not understand the North Country where you can go hunt and other hunters do not see you as fair game. So take it for what it is and be thankful we are away from all the foolishness.

well the shooter pleaded guilty yesterday to criminally negligent homicide in county court. He faces up to 4 years in state prison when sentenced 10/1. I hope he gets all of that.

I like pheasant hunting and grouse. Never tried water fowl. I need to get another good dog. It sure makes it easier and more fun.

If I could get a DMP every year yes. I get one every 3 or 4 years. If nit I would hunt birds and small game.

hey the light came on. I have said I forget how many times, if button bucks continue to be killed as they are with an antlerless tag, AR is silly. It is ok to kill it as button buck (basically fawn) but next year as a spike or crotch horn, it has ot walk. More people will just kill them as button bucks. If then never get a chance to grow a set of antlers, they will never get a chance to become a big buck.

Clearing trails and cut some shooting lanes. Trail cams are up and I check the cards regularly. Cutting wood for camp, and for the neighbor so we have his land. I planted one plot of imperial white clover. It grew like crazy and now is burning off. No way to water it as even my creek is dry. Walking alot and counting the days. I shoot the guns and bow year round, so they are ready as usual. -

I sense a you are an instructor post coming. And it is never brought up without an argument. But you are once again entitled to your opinion regardless of validity. Just because you say case closed doesn't make it so.
