  1. if you go to the special youth hunt topic, the link to the DEC page is posted.
  2. I think the youth's shot and injured / killed less people last year than the adult hunter's...........
  3. if you read the regulations for this year's youth hunt, it say's they may use a crossbow...........gotta be an error on their part.
  4. yeah, because dozens were killed last year...............that didn't take long did it?
  5. General Electric has been around forever, and they have different models that go from reasonable up to expensive........I would go with a model that has the lower pull out drawer type freezer......cold air drops, so with the upper door or side by side door, each time you open it the cold air falls out and wastes more energy than needed, with the pull out drawer, the cold air stays inside..
  6. I also think that they shouldn't be considered roll models........roll models, when I grew up were actual people we knew and interacted with, not entertainers we would most likely never meet...........Hell, Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle and the likes were known drunks, different problems for each era, they should be taken for what they are. There was just a 20 something year old, 20 million dollar a year New England Patriot arrested for murder, think about that.....20 million dollars a year and he's in a gang!!!!
  7. I could care less, too much money and time is spent worrying about what these entertainer's do and how they do it......I still can't believe there were congressional hearings on steroid use in baseball........time and money wasted on unimportant things.
  8. someone put up a link a few posts before this one "going crazy about dmp's
  9. yup, know that you mention it, the deer in the bottom photos appears to have some type of wound in front of the rear leg.
  10. from what I've read, mange is fairly uncommon in deer......
  11. I think a lot of people better the habitat on their land for a far bigger picture than just for killing deer or other wildlife........if I can make an assumption, growalot seems to be one of these people. Due to the layout of our land, we are unable to grow any food plots, but have planted bushes and trees that produce shelter and food for all types of wildlife, but are really nothing that would draw animals in for any type of an effective hunting environment.
  12. It would be interesting to know if he is actually a bowhunter who is involved in this because of his personal beliefs or just the spokesman for a group who got his attention.
  13. If you ever wanted a trout pond on your property, here's your chance........and it may turn out to be a good spot for duck hunting as well.
  14. I think the locations that offer the hands on field course are spread pretty thin, has anyone looked into it?
  15. DMP'S are even now more precious in the areas where AR's were forced down our throats.....if I get denied a DMP, I have no problem having my wife buy her license in the hopes of getting one that I can use.
  16. from what I remember, only the person who actually possessed it could use it.......I don't think all listed on it had to be present.
  17. I had it bad once, Dr. said the shot is the last resort.........needless to say, I went back when it spread to places you don't want it........got the shot and it cleared up in a day or two.
  18. It would be helpful if we knew exactly what you asked him in your letter.
  19. It would be totally legal if her intention was to get extra dmp's to sign over to him.........back when the dmp's were party permits, they required 2-3 people on each one, my wife was nice enough to sit through the course and get certified so I had enough people to apply. She also had enough interest to hunt for two years until she shot a deer, that was the end of her hunting.
  20. I don't think live fire is a part of the test............neither one of my kids had it included in the course when they took it, unless that is something that is part of the new online course.
  21. I'm sorry, should I have said "lost' their lives. I don't see what makes a fireman losing their life any different than a policeman losing their life in the line of duty..........maybe you can enlighten us on that.
  22. before you drill the stock, put masking tape over where you intend to drill...it helps prevent splintering.
  23. that's quite the statement....I'm sure if you said that to the families of the officer's who gave their lives in the line of duty, they would disagree.
  24. is it 607 area code they won't ship to, or zip codes starting with 607?
