  1. I have a 6k I would be willing to let go for a 7a
  2. Nice. Will you shoot it if given the chance?
  3. After calling around without any luck, I ended up ordering some from cabelas. I had to pay a extra $20 for hazardous shipping. I hope this stuff is all it's supposed to be.
  4. My son has a genesis as well. He has outgrown it though and I am thinking Diamond next since that is what I shoot.
  5. I try to be as respectful as possible when hunting someone's land. It's what is best for everyone.
  6. To let it rot when there are other options is just lazy. Of course there can be exceptions like nuisance animals, but when a guy spends hours in a treestand hunting, then won't take the time to take care of the meat, he is just being lazy and unethical.
  7. Hell of a lot harder to find a new hunting spot after getting kicked out for killing it!
  8. Neither do I, and some states have laws against it. I find it about as unethical as it gets. To kill something and let it go as waste is disgusting.
  9. I know a couple guys who kill 8+ deer a year just to say they killed that many. They cut off the backstraps and best part of the hindquarter and throw the rest away, then go kill another. I don't consider this ok. I thought that was the type of guy ants was referring to.
  10. I don't feel any of us should be labeled. I am just a hunter.
  11. Guess I have to find some. Thanks
  12. You know what scares me more than Lyme disease is the allergy to meat you get from a certain kind of tick. An allergy to meat would be hell!
  13. Permethrin seems like the way to go
  14. I think so, especially while ground hunting. If you have ever seen another hunter in the woods you will notice how much their face seems out of place if uncovered.
  15. Mask for me. I don't like how the paint feels.
  16. I hunt 3-6 days a week during deer and spring turkey seasons and have never found a tick on me. I don't get it.
  17. One of the things I love most about hunting is how quickly your season can go from the worst ever to the best. All it takes is the right deer. I have been at it for 20 seasons now. Every one has been different. Some I can't step in the woods without passing on deer, others I have to hunt all season before killing anything. You have to take the good with the bad. I do the same thing for good and bad seasons, hunt. Just keep hunting and it will all come together. If this is your first bad time in 10 years, then I would say your doing really well. Is that a confidence booster?
  18. That's a hell of an accomplishment, congrats!
  19. Anyone have any experience with the blackhorn209 powder? Good or bad. What are you guys using to measure it?
  20. Good point, I didn't. Thanks for posting. I was a big fan of Larry. One of the few I would call a true legendary deer hunter.
