Something different for the wall is all. I think a buck in full velvet is a pretty sight. Wouldn't mind one hanging on my wall. Not saying I support a Sept 1st opener, just saying if it happened I would make the best of it. Machinists, would you have shot that 6?

False This thread will turn into a never ending argument
-
I have seen them in velvet in early September. Which would be the only benefit I would see, having the opportunity to harvest a buck in velvet.
-
True. We must be getting bored
-
I would have to see this September 1st opener in a DEC press release to believe it. If it did happen I know this, I would be hunting the bucks hard early September. I have seen buck with velvet still on their antlers this time of year and have always wanted to harvest a trophy in velvet for the wall.

Went out for the first time of the season today. Caught a bunch of bluegill and sunnies, but only kept 15 of the nicer ones.

Michael Waddell irritates the hell out of me, but his bone collector model by Gamo is supposed to be pretty good. I don't have any experience with one myself, but I have read good reviews on it. The albino must be pretty tough to see in the snow. -
I joined both forums but haven't spent too much time on the one yet. I have been on huntingbeast a bit and like it. A lot of good info and a format that works well on my droid phone.

I can't eat at taco hell unless I am running distance to a restroom

Caldwell lead sled,Bitzenburger arrow fletcher, UA gloves and some smart wool socks. -
We used to hunt a friends silo. It would contain up to about 15 pigeons. We would throw a rock up on the barn roof and get ready. The rock would roll down, smack the silo and the noise would flush the birds out. We would unload, collect our harvest, then go back into the house and wait for the survivors to return. Then repeat.

Wow, beautiful pics!

I have heard fox and they don't sound anything like that. Maybe those fox are from California??

I have a Glock 19 and love it. 9mm is a great round. That being said, my .22 pistols get much more shooting time. They are just so much more fun!

I wasn't asking because I wanted to try it, just getting an answer to a question I have wondered about. -

Thanks for answering my questions. -
I have had pigeon breast wrapped in bacon and topped with a jalapeno slice...very tasty!

Disclaimer: I have no intentions of trying SML powder in any muzzleloader that it's not designed for. Just asking stupid questions. -

I understand that. There is no way to match pressures? -

What I don't understand is that if you worked up a smokeless powder load that gave the same amount of energy as lets say 100 grains of blackpowder, why you couldn't use it in a regular muzzleloader?? -

Have you tried the Fur Shed in Weedsport? I have heard of people being able to find guns and gun parts through that guy. -
We all have the right to say what we want in public. It's called the freedom of speach. And Phil did what everyone in this country has the right and ability to do, build a good life for his family through hard work. There are still several people in this country who believe homosexuality is wrong. They should and do have the right to speak about it.

I think you need to find what works best for your gun. We all have different experiences and some might even use some kind of formula, but I think it's going to come down to what works for you. That being said, I have recently fallen in love with the Blackhorn 209 and Precision Rifle bullets. Accurate, hard hitting and clean!

Same here and that's the way I want it.
