  1. Sodfather, dont accidentally take the foxpro. I have me eye on that for next hunt.
  2. Good luck guys. Hope the snow stops for ya’
  3. It’s a component based gun. You can change the them out as you choose. Buy a new upper and you hav a new chambering. Stocks easily adjusted for comfort. Plus they tend to be among the more affordable accurate semi autos. The reason I was considering one had nothing to do with style. In fact, I too prefer the style of traditional wood stock guns.
  4. Yep, the one pulling the trigger. Lol. No excuses here. Well I already used them all up with Treeguy.
  5. That said, someone would have to file a new suit, appeal and then petition. Won’t hapoen I don’t think and it’s unlikrky that cert would be granted. Very low percentage of cases.
  6. Well I can see why they loosened. That’s way tighter than I had them. I guess pre and post season will do.
  7. Looks like generally 50-65 inch lbs recommended.
  8. Realized the front end of my stock was loose while hunting with tree guy so when I got home I snugged it up and checked my others guns. All three screws holding the action and trigger guard to my savage 220 were very loose. Lucky I still killed deer with it this year. How often do you check those screws? Regularly, couple times a year, preseason? And is there a standard torque for the action screws? Thanks
  9. Welcome. Based on your first post, I believe you will fit in well with the characters on this site. We all know it all. Just ask us. Even if you don't ask we will still tell you!
  10. Anytime. I criticize with the best of em and am not afraid of my glass house! Good work, seriously.
  11. Horrible work as usual Wooly! NICE.
  12. Been hinting and outright asking for a sous vide water heater/circulator since before Christmas. Still waiting. Might just have to take things into my own hands!
  13. Do you marinade while in the sous vide? You could smoke em for a couple hours at the end and crisp them on the grill just to add some extra work. lol
  14. Where the heck do you guys work? I have a coworker that thought about buying a snow shovel and then had the plow guy handle the walkway too! Pretty sure I am the only one with a snowblower around here.
  15. Didn't follow it closely but I believe a challenge to the safe act was shot down by the Second Circuit (which is the federal appellate court for NY) in 2016. I have no idea whether a petition for cert was ever filed with SCOTUS (which would be the next step) and was denied. But clearly that case did not go any further.
  16. I have debated the self guided hunt before. Very doable in CO for example. But let’s say it costs $3-4l and 10days to go self guided and $8k and 7 days on a guided hunt in a top notch area. I think I would opt for the latter. Different story if I planned to hunt out of state elk regularly. But if you are going to be limited to a few trips in your life, I will pay more for better odds.
  17. Sounds like a clear cut failure to warn case Philo. Call me. Haha. Dont worry, we can rope in whoever planted the tree and the seed manufacturer too.
  18. Which is true of any plaintiffs PI case by every lawyer that handles them. Lol
  19. I was kidding. That guy was hit by lightening twice (while hiding in a cave). Odds are very low.
  20. Enter the PA lottery. Some NY Hunter was actually drawn twice.
  21. The general public (vs sophisticated business clients) are more than happy to call the lawyer that advertises all day on TV. And some of them do very well in the PI area. Can’t fault them for that even if those ads become annoying.
  22. Shouldn't you be on paid leave with that type of serious injury and your union contract!
  23. I completely agree that lawyers should not advertise. But if you are hurt in a hunting accident, call 555-5555!
  24. I didn’t. I checked out a safe act legal AR at Biekirchs. In the end, I decided the 243 would be more useful all around but I still may dive into an AR at some point.
