Well being only 12 min from work and a child, I had to drive home mount and focus the kill light at lunch. I may not kill anything but will look pretty good trying.

The muck woody elite or arctics should keep your feet warm. I don't think they are too clunky, but not like hiking boots either.

Yep, I would like to see what a competent shooter could do with this rifle. Got a light coming today. Will post some pics later. I should be all set to miss again this Friday!

I was shooting at 9x and it seemed like those crosshairs were bouncing all over and I was doing my best to time the shot even though I know its not how one should shoot. Maybe I got lucky (to the extent its a decent group) but I really didn't think it was very good shooting. That said, I haven't done a lot of free hand shooting at that distance. I wanted to shoot a bit more to break in the barrel so I gave it a run. If I can, I will take a rest or tree to steady myself any day of the week. I am not proud. lol

I ended up with the new BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2. Same tires that come on the new raptors. They ride really nice and have handled the snow well. They are also quiet (which drove me nuts on the Duratracs as they aged). Only downfall is that my first set of Goodrich only lasted 33k miles but I also found this set of 4 online for $790 shipped so whatever I lose in mileage was probably offset by the cost. Happy with them so far.

We took some clients out there. I personally would not pay $245 to play golf anywhere. My game doesn't warrant it! It was impressive.

Consistent 4" groups (2" from center in any direction ) work for me. And I shoot arrows most days just to try to maintain that lack luster performance. -
I like the idea of MPBR for deer rifles, although I really don’t shoot far enough to need it. I just sighted the 243 so that it will be within 1” of 0 out to 200yds.

Amazon rewards isn’t bad. Give you 3x points for amazon purchases. And then you can use the points to buy products on amazon. I buy a lot of stuff on Amazon. Too lazy to go to store and returns are just as easy. -

And for your amusement I shot a target offhand at 125. Yes I stink but it meets minute of Deer standard.

Not an AR but the savage shoots better than I can. Photos are sideways but top is 4 shots at 75 and bottom is a bunch at 125. High miss was all me. Lower is a heavier grain bullet. But considering it’s only ammo I tried prettty happy with it.
