  3. hey very cool I am sure you got some good stories to tell! NOW GET HOME HOME SAFE YOU GOT NY BUCKS THAT NEED KILLIN!
  4. man its right around the corner! I really cant wait
  5. yea it really is I use a Winchester ballistic silver tip and the round is unstoppable! SO accurate the rifle loves this round! You should give it a try in the weatherby they work great together!
  6. go with a weatherby vanguard with a series 2 trigger. Crisp accurate durable and you throw a 220 grain in and you can bring any large game in north America right down to hell! Go with the synthetic stocks. Ive had to use mine to beat down a pricker bush or two and your not gonna cry when the skuffs on the buttstock start matchin the heads on the wall!
  7. man o man I have been having some trouble sighting in my bow this year. just lost 4 new arrows just last night lol 20 yard is dead on however at 30 my 20 pin is still good which keeps throwing me off and causing some nasty misses.
  8. ALSO if you are doing it on someone's property be surgical when removing the sod. I like to bring a towel to put the dirt on! That way when you are finished there is absolutely no sign that you were even there in the first place. The more you do it the better you get at keeping it neat and clean.
  9. well I got into it recently and its a funny thing. ITS ADDICTIVE! at first you go to public places around sunset when no ones around and you tree and see what you can find. Most of the time its junk but when you find something cool as hell that has some serious age to it the journey has only yet to begin! With the aid of the internet it makes treasure hunting much easier to identify the different items you will find throughout your travels. You may find you enjoy that part even more then the digging! Anyhow I try and research an area and then if it has an abundance of history to it I will ask permission. You can offer up whatever you find in which case most times they wont take it. But remember you don't have to go to a special place you would not believe what you would find in your own back yard. Metal Detecting is like dipping into the past into a long forgotten time. The underground is a place much forgotten by common folks however when you erupt something from the past you will find different people have different outlooks and interests as to what you are doing. I have only gotten positive feedback while treasure hunting so once you can get over the fear of people watching and asking questions, knocking on a door is worth it if you stumble across something that will leave you speechless!
  10. ah yes the shit birds we encounter this species every day building docks and moving barges. They may shit everywhere but they are an elusive beautiful bird and native to this fine island. Tell me have any of you ever even seen a seagull nest!!!! DIDNT THINK SO! Tricky spawns of satan I sure wouldn't mind having one mounted on my wall come to think of it...I could pet it when I come home from work and tell it jokes over a warm cup of tea in front of a warm fireplace on a rainy long island winters day lolol
  11. I always wanted to try squirrel hunting. If anyone is down to take a newbie squirrel master let me know!
  12. man dooley that's some wild stuff right there! Great story so was he in a full charge when you shot em!? Spooky stuff I wonder if he would have attacked once he realized what you were or if he was going for the sandwich. I don't think I would have waited to find out! Quick shooting with a 30-06 aint easy but thank god you know what your doing! Very cool story!
  13. Hey guys I wanted to upgrade a few components on my bow including my sight. I was thinking about getting a one pin sight like the AXT Archer Extreme Driver 1-Pin Bow Sight so I could dial the distance down and not be blinded by the different pins. Although now the more I think about it it just takes that much longer to dial down a deer then to ready the bow aim and shoot after zapping em with a range finder. I have heard some great reviews on this specific brand I was just curious to see if anyone has used one before?
  14. damn sir very nice if I get something worth stickin on the wall ill make the drive!
  15. nice pics cant wait to get back in the woods!
  16. Hey guys I was thinking of purchasing this drop away rest for my pse dna. The bows a rocket and I want a good drop away. Been using whisker biscuits but my biscuits kinda burnt! hahaaa anyhow if anyone has any experience shooting with this product let me know what you think! GOOD LUCK OUT THERE!!!!
  17. man that will get your blood pumpin! Good luck! Be sure to post some pics after you stick em this season!
  18. I have shot at that range numerous times when I lived in Arizona. I used to carry a kimber custom 2 on my hip everywhere I went in az. Very relaxed gun laws which was SOOOO nice coming from NY. Last I was there they did away with the concealed permit which meant you could only carry if the gun was showing. Now you don't need a permit to conceal a firearm unless they changed the law. I remember bouncing at a night club and you had to be weary of girls with big breasts bc it was very popular to hide Rhine stone covered nickel plated 22\s in between there breasts! Anyhow I was at that range one day when I heard a noticeable ticking sound coming from the shooter to my right. When I looked over there was a 21 year old kid with a 16 year old shooting a silenced mark 7 lol he let me shoot it and it was extremely cool but had me thinking if it was a bit much for someone that young to be messing around with a silencer! Automatic weapons were verrrry common and I believe you could own one fairly easily it just had to be kept at the armory and had to be checked out when taken to the range on a day or weekend type pass. I am extremely pro gun HOWEVER putting a fully automatic uzi in a 9 year olds hand is just stupid! I am all for teaching gun safety to children but putting an uzi in a 9 year olds hands is like tossing your 16 year old a pair of Ferrari keys and saying take it for a spin son! The instructor was following protocol however lacking common sense!!!! ITS A FULLY AUTOMATIC SUB MACHINE GUN! Not your fathers old 22lr that he passed down for shooting squirrels! When Uziel Gal made this weapon it was to protect his homeland of Israel from invading forces and it did just that! I am sure he wasn't planning on having a 9 year old fire a micro version of his design! This kind of incompetence by the parents of this young lady as well as the range officers is slowly destroying the 2nd amendment. I urge parents to please be responsible when handling this kind of weaponry and if your looking for hits on youtube find another way then putting a sub machine gun in your childs hands.
  19. go with a pear of merrels they are amazing! I used em for the entire dock building all year and they still don't leak a drop! $200.00 for the best pair of boots I have ever owned.
  20. Last year when I bagged a buck at Sterling I had a hard time tracking it due to a gut shot. I drove all the way back to Sterling the next morning with my now fiancé and we tracked the deer in the rain through a swamp and were able to find em! I gutted em and it was about that time watching the love of my life help drag a dead deer out of the woods in a pair of uggs that I realized I was going to marry her! Now we have a kid on the way! Boy or girl one day he/she will be dragging out a dead deer with daddy!
  21. Hell even my shnazzy profile pic was taken there lol
