    Crap, left my phone in the truck lol. Saw a doe and 2 fawn at first light bout hour later saw a doe and a button. Same doe and button walked between this transition and ravine 2 other times after to my stand and back just feeding on under growth. Nice and chilly this morning. 33 degrees

    I think aside of getting the excitement from seeing a buck myself is getting texts from buddies in various areas getting one knocked down or a fellow member of the forum getting a nice deer! That always pumps me up I was day dreaming a little bit about your buck this evenings sit as if your bucks twin brother was going to slip in behind me lmao. Congrats again

    I do none of the above. Maybe a slight bend to my shot but it's something I don't even think about. I have a tree stand pin above my 20 about an 1/8 inch. Takes the guess work out and all that bending. Drop that pin where it needs to go and will hit an apple every time at 8-15 yards 20 foot high everytime. I use a 20 for most shooting. Anything in close I use my "tree stand pin" or so my dad and I call it. That pin compensates for the height of the stand to close range shots.

    Skunked! But I slipped out 20 min early. I plan on getting in that spot tomorrow morning since it will be cold and the same wind.

    i dont give it a whole lot of thought... I have harvested doe with fawns in the past and they survive just fine. In fact studies show other doe will actually look after fawns that are not theirs. they are maternal like that.

    Yeah was thinking that to culver but the tracks just a few inches away were smaller in the mud. I mean you could Def be right but down that road 50 yards saw the same tracks same size.. I'm hoping it's a small yote! Or average lol. Don't wanna wall up on that I'm the dark hahah

    Went on a doe mission but didn't see deer 1. But to say that was an enjoyable hunt and having seen one of the nicest sun shower ever, all in all I'd say I had a great time! I have a buddy on li who's already tagged out. Shot a 10 point this morning and a 9 point this evening lol. Tagged out on opening day. Here's some pics from the stand. The one has a rainbow in it.
