  1. This season I lost some properties and may score a big farm (fingers crossed) but have not took any inventory on LI as I know there there but most stressful part is I haven't had a chance to pull inventory yet. Hope I get this farm permission so I can start. Hope the last laid plans are the best or I'm in trouble lol
  2. I sit all day everyday... I don't get bored, don't sleep a wink and don't fade out. I wait all year for the season and I hit the ground running. Oh and the wife yells at me cause I drink 2 5 hour energy drinks every sit.... :/ This year I may not sit all day everyday since it's my first year up here. I'll put in some time and see how the movement is accordingly. Always saw many deer in the afternoon early season on LI.

  5. If you read all the way through it says 2 doe 2 buck limit in the rules
  6. yeah sorta seemed that way a bit... i think part of the problem is the acclimation process or lack there of in this case. i know i wasnt just thrown into the mix and handed a gun and fell in love with the sport. it came with many many years at a young age shadowing my father just being in the woods in general. whether is be scouting or plain sitting in a blind with my dad during the season but i knew when my time came and i was legal to hunt with him rather then just shadowing him, i was READY. i WANTED to be there and WANTED to hunt. theres things as hunters we can do to help the process if we hope our little ones will one day follow suit. not just give em a gun and say shoot, theres seat time and a learning curve. Now, not all kids will want to hunt but may pick it up down the road as they mature some or become more involved. the road is long, so dont ruin it trying so hard in the beginning forcing them to hunt! it may just put a bad taste in their mouth
  7. i use them... theres a time and place for them just like anything else. depends on the time of year and the deer it self. last year i used the MAD hyper growl and did a grunt sequence into a triple wheeze blindly and called my Halloween 8 30 yards from my tree. i have also used the can and MAD bleet and called deer to my tree many many times. i have also used them and had not one deer respond. you don't want to call to the point it sounds un natural. if a deer hears that call, they can pin that sound down and remember where it came from in a good way and bad way. the good: you may call and have a deer remember where it came from and show up minutes later to investigate. the bad: you may call un naturally and have a deer avoid your area that day like the plague.
  8. Nice call on that interpretation. I'll buy it lol
  9. Someone is bound to have a defect in any head... I've shot rage for this will be my 7th season I believe without any fails. I won't try anything else... I've come from fixed blades and since I started with rage I just won't look back.

  14. 2 white blazers with one hot pink. Sticks out pretty good...
  15. I have a 2005 Mathews switchback XT and a 2012 mathews MR5. I do not think it's a realistic representation of today's archers but there is a percentage of guys who do buy new bows every year. I also think it's due to the dollar value tho that makes it appealing. Think about it, a lot of bows can range 800 plus bare bones. 1 year later a guy can pick that bow up on AT classifieds for a fraction of the price and in most cases setup with arrows. So it does become pretty popular at that point. Even guys who don't need a new bow, a deal is a deal...
  16. Nice buck mike! Dang man, need a partner? Lmao jk
  17. I said mid 150s and I was right there... 8 points can get big and score that high. There are many shot each year no one even bothers to add in the books. They exist
