  1. guys...i have a few boxes of RAGE that i have to sell otherwise RAGE will cancel my work status with them, any takes?? help a brother out
  2. i personally think this is THE WORST design... i HATE over the top broad heads, what i love about rage is they are rear deploying and cut a massive hole on contact. heres how shwacker works and i would not want a head like that, JMO...
  3. boy i wish i can walk 150 to any of my stands! lol my closest set in one my my spots is a 400 yard walk. my furthest out here is half mile and mine upstate is half mile. all walking, no atv... next year im placing a stand close from my truck for next year. i see giant deer at this one spot for 3 seasons now and find myself asking why i am walking almost a half mile in when all the shooter deer end up in the spot so close to where i park lol
  4. thats a damn bear man! lol i do not ever want to talk up on one going to my stand...
  5. i am actually still using the original 2 blades as we speak with the o-rings. ZERO ISSUES what so ever.... took my 8 point on Halloween, 30 yard shot, heart shot ran 40 yards and piled up in less then 8 seconds. once i shoot the rest of these heads, ill go buy the new rage hypodermics.
  6. If the blades keep opening up, grab the o-ring with your finger and twist it a bit to an unworn location. They won't open up... Or shoot the shock collars and problem solved. Mine never open on me... Some guys may be more rugged with their equipment then others
  7. thats what i was figuring you said you had a double lung hit deer run a half mile? double lung, half mile?? and you hit it with a rage. you dont have to hit vitals for a deer do die but a double lung shot should go no more then 50 yards. even a deer booking it in a mad ash wont clear 100 yards or so on a DL shot. you should have played lotto after that shot, because thats a first....
  8. i personally never said a dog would not run a deer.... i did say you would have to be a low life for shooting a dog period, running deer or not. if someone has to make a move in self defense and thats what it comes down to then that's entirely a different story.
  9. im pumped to get the gun in hand! good luck and shoot straight boys and girls!
  10. hit em in the right spot, regardless what head your using and they wont go far... half a mile on the rage? you hit NO vitals, it was you not the head and a double what??
  11. you know anyone who hunts here? what are the membership costs?
  12. where is the face?! i only see a tree and a bow??
  13. Good stuff john! So things are going good over by you, good to hear. Get one of those big boys down
  14. Be there at 10:12 He will be there... Jk... I'd say slim to none but ya never know
  15. I mean we can go crazy worrying about every little thing we do that will effect deer movment and patterns. I do not advise touching any kind of rub/scrape fresh or not. A lot of human scent is left behind with Our hands. Any edge we can take away from the deer the better. The odds are already in favor of the deer so don't give them any better then what they have already. I wouldn't be majorly concerned with it, not enough NOT to hunt that spot this weekend. Get in there and hunt it! You never know...
  16. id be pumped to see that on cam! any pics of him more recent then a month ago?
  17. Not sure about upstate but the island seems to be very slow and rutting activity seems late. Seems like big shooter bucks have started hitting the ground more and more the past few days to a week upstate... Not to long after that happens my phone starts blowing up with big bucks on the island hitting the ground and that just hasn't happened yet. I don't see nice size deer seeking and multiple bucks seeking, nose to the ground. I see chasing here n there and bucks grunting but not the typical strong Rut activity. Just seems likes a few smaller bucks exercising does and when I check the hocks on the does they just don't seem ready. Some are white and some are just turning color. The ones that just started turning seem to be the ones getting bucks moving for a few days but then it dies down, my guess the bucks see that they are just not ready. I'm hoping next week out here is on on the island and this weekend upstate is on. Fingers crossed
  18. It went to your left, my right...
