like i said earlier. guns are not the problem here. MEDIA is a big problem. Americans who dont want to be bothered with getting involved - is a problem (over looking signs people like this put out and simply dont want to address them) is a problem its just funny how so many one here can never agree with anything and really just take the time to read someones post and if they feel like some one is address something they never said, rather then asking what they meant by it they want to kick and scream i never said that. my point was with so many cases in the USA in the past 10 years or so we clearly have more and more issues like this happening more often. there is so much conflict and GREY AREAS with guys on this forum and prob every other forum hunting related forum. one thing i know is organizations such as PETA and Anti gun organizations have their act together and are all on the same page, there is NO grey area, stop killing animals or ban all guns. pretty simple. here it oh well this is the problem no this is, they need to do this no they need to do that. Face it at the end of the day when things get taken from us (we were the problem) not the Anti's who apparently are all on board and have there act together. If it wasnt for the NRA we wouldnt even have a leg to stand on, we would all be weak and to busy fighting and arguing with each other... this is why i rarely get involved with topics like this, so many take one word and hold onto it and usually had no reference to that person from the beginning. troubled youth that commit crimes like this are troubled and usually give off signs that throws flags up to normal people and says hey something is not right with this child. BUT HEY HES NOT MINE SO ITS NOT MY PROBLEM! and on the other end of the spectrum you have parent that say OH NOT MY CHILD, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH HIM. its the truth and you know it, its one of the biggest issues we face is to many people over looking the broken to many people not wanting to help or even step up, its safer to sit back and say nothing. call me wrong...

it is everywhere in the world and can be carried out using any blund object or explosive ect... we get that... my point is why since the Columbine incident is there 31 acts in the US and only 17 world wide, same time frame... who cares about guns.. im not saying guns here. im pro guns and will die that way. guns are not the problem here we all can agree so who lets move on. there is an underlying issue here and its way above guns. no one said mass murders are LIMITED to the US so where you and culver read that, i dont know. i am say us as a country we pass the entire world in that aspect, why??

the world we live in is changing and fast... times are changing and if you dont keep up or smarting up then your left behind. whats screwed up is the fact that most Americans can give 2 craps what happens to someone else right infront of their very own eyes, they simply do not want to get involved. they have TV shows based on this on how people will do the most amazing messed up stuff and its scary howmany americans DO NOT even want to get involved or say anything! the problem is no one stands up or speaks up. i guy got ran over by a train and instead of lending a hand he grabbed his cell phone to take a video almost 1 minute long, thats sad....

mass murder is not a problem in this country??? we have had 31 mass murders since Columbine in the US alone, 17 world wide. is it our drinking water??? if as a combine the whole world aside from the US is only 17 id say we are down playing something here or severely over looking something.

i agree, its on the up rise... look howmany shooting we had in a 10 year period vs a 20 year period.

i am very aware of what the media tries to play and down play.... My point is weather or not shootings in schools have been happening since the 1700s is not exactly relative to todays times. While yes shootings have occurred my point is kids bringing a gun into a school trying to take the life of one person they may have an issue with or some sort of gang related issue BUT now a days kids bringing guns to school have intent to not take just one life but to take many followed by their own. with all those dates listed over hundreds of years i wonder even if the last 6 shooting we had, more lives were taken in those 6 then atleast half the shootings you listed. You stated that you said Media does not have play in situations like this but i disagree... try t remember the victims in Columbine, remember any names with out a simple google search? i bet you can tell me the name of the shooter tho. Media give wackos like this WAY TO MUCH publicity! sends a signal as if you can take the lives of many and be remembered for years to come.

Media has alot to do with. It's a spoon fed messgae that gets wired into some brains upon review. Question, a school shooting can be a one on one attack or gang related. Mass shooting in my eyes is different. These "shootings" now a days involve killing a number of innocent people for no reason. The statistics you gave us based on shootings I would have to assume could be any type of shooting? Now a days it seems to be a mass shooting. I bet the combined 6 shooting took more lives in that bandwidth then the whole list combined.

The image it sends is basically, kill people and be remembered... in most cases the shooters are remembered long after the crime but the ones who suffered are not. If the end of the world is this friday then what do people really have to lose? Seems to be the mind set of alot of people...

lol true... i have to admit i am very very happy with this property. but if didnt have bigger plans in mind it would suit every need i have. as far as a deer/turkey hunter is concerned its a perfect setup with a ton of potential. great areas for food plots and planting more apple trees or even putting in a decent size pond.

Dimensions are the property is a perfect rectangle road frontage and width = just over 500' depth on the left side is 1300" and depth on the right side is 1150' there is a house to the right, he owns 10 acres and a season cabin to the left, the owner lives on long island and doesn't go up often, he owns 16 acres. very secluded and great privacy. there is also about a 300' creek that runs though the property.

Nah, was just curious if anyone else has ever done the same? bought property and then wanted bigger? Honestly i didint think i would really come up as much as i did this year to the property. At some points i was up almost every weekend... if i could afford to buy another parcel and keep mine i would! lol

i want to use it for more then deer hunting. 12 acres is great for deer hunting assuming its the right one. There is a big pond in the back on the neighbors property which the deer have to travel around and come onto my land to get by so its a natural funnel so it has a great volume of deer traffic. Has plenty of room to build on also but i want alot of roaming space and something where i can add a very big pond for fishing and room to make sanctuary areas where i stay out of and so on so 12 acres is perfect for alot of hunters but i just need something i can grow into so to speak. NYbuck50 and first-light feel free to PM anytime if you would like additional info. i do not have the property listed at the moment but it does not mean i wouldnt sell if someone was ready to make a move. it also has a brandnew almost 200' long gravel drive way with a turn around installed this summer (14" deep).

will do, it really is a great piece of land for a hunter. the deer sign is on every inch of that property, always alot of turkey, i saw a few yote tracks in the snow in the begining of the year. i just want more land... but i def will keep you in mind

Tossing around the idea of selling my 12 acres i bought and buying something bigger. Just putting this out there, its not official at the moment hence why i did not post in the land for sale section. i want around the 60-100 acre range where i can really grow into and have even more privacy. Dont get me wrong my 12 acres is mint, deer sign everywhere, amazing seclusion from the road for the entire road frontage and then once you enter the property there is about a 2 acre field perfect for food plots and then the rest of the woods behind the open area. Apple trees everywhere, 300 feet of creek that runs through the property. It really is a nice piece and i looked for along time before i bought it but i really want alot more land. So if i sell it i will let you guys know for who ever is looking. Its in otsego county on the Chenango County border in New Berlin. State land all around the area and the property backs up to roughly 1900acrs of mixed private parcels of land.
