Alright thanks. That's what I expected. Using therosene in a heater. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Well I couldn't find my answer online so I'll ask here. Neighbor gave me a blue kerosene can. Checked it out and they had gas in it. Can I just flush this with water for a couple hours. Then dry it. And return it to storing kerosene? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

I use lifelines on all 8 of my stands. I have kids so I do it for them. And myself obviously. I look at it as a pay to play situation. Now I only buy millenium stands because they dont kill my tailbone. And they come with a lifeline in every box. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

That is a tree strap / linemens belt. 2 carabiners makes it a linemens. Loop on one end and Prussic with biner and it's a tree strap. Great for use with a climber. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Paid on my first deer. 100$ I asked for just the prime cuts and roasts whole. Anything else go to grind.. Got back a lb or so of grind. 2 roasts and a bunch steaks and chips steaks. My almost 200lb doe biggest I've ever shot. Got me 30ishlbs of meat. Shoddily packaged and bloody. Had to vac pac it all once I got it home Last time I ever paid. I can have it processed and packed in about 3 hrs. Prime cuts and roasts. Then stew meat or grind chunks. However you look at it. I now get more meat in my freezer per deer. That said, I'm busier this season. So after I process one. I'd take any after an hour away to a reputable outfit for all custom stuff. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

These were dead center of a 100yard wide field. Long ways rectangle. Had to get to far side. Either way bypassing them would put me about 50 yards from them. Light or no light? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

So the first time in my career I had some deer bedded in the field I have to walk through to get to a blind. Caught eyes with my headlamp. What is proper procedure? Wait until light and choot em? Slow pace and keep walking till the bump? Wait until they bump occasionally lighting them then move through? I backed to edge of field to decide what to do. It was an hour until light. After 10 minutes I hit the light again and they were still there. I turned it off and 10 minutes later I heard them wheeze/blow from other side of field. Checked with light and they were gone. Moved through with red light to blind. They came back through 1.5 hrs later. Unfortunately for me I had nodded 2-5mins and when I came too just saw their butts moving into the weeds. Also passed a young doe later..... regretting the pass as my hunting time is gonna dry up fast soon. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Figured I'd update.. Got nap slingblades in the mail today. Grouping out to 30. Cant shoot 40. No adjustments needed. I'm a happy hunter and I'll be hitting the field tomorrow morning for my first time of the year Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

As much as the ease of use is awesome with the crossbow..... I cant wait to be able to shoot my Matthew's when my shoulder heals. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

I ordered some nap slingblades. Got 6. If they dont hit with fps then I'll just adjust the sight to the poi. Hopefully they at least group fairly close. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Looks like I'll be buying a few more sets of broadheads. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Nah it's fine. The issue is super frustrating... I hate buying tons of broadheads... I alrdy have 6 different kinds from find some for my bow Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Do I need to index the fixed blades to the vanes? I assumed this wouldnt be an issue with a crossbow. Slight adjustments sure, but this far off is disconcerting. without the ability to make adjustments at home, I cant take this thing out if it's not drilling the broadheads consistently Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Should add I was using mozy 3 blade 100g and 125g. The rage knockoff mechanical was 125g. Arrows weights with fields and broads all match within a grain or two. The deviation on poi is several inches. High or left or right. Shot over 20 broadhead shots. Nothing resembling a group. Is there a preferred broadhead for crossbow for this issue? Or do I just need to adjust the scope for the heads? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

I have a Barnett whitetail hunter 2. my field points are dialed in from 20 to 50 yd not that I would shoot at 50 yd however when I put on my broadheads . my arrows are all over the place I tried going up in weight to 125 grain tips again my field points are dialed in and my broadheads are not I also attempted to try a knock off rage mechanical again more accurate than the fixed blade but still off is there some way to tune the cross bow like I would the site on my vertical bow Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

So i have history with critter. Ever since I started hunting this property Ive been seeing it. One time right under my stand but it was a bit too dark to determine what it was. Since then it has been trail camera pics. These are the only clear daylight ones I have. I am thinking gray fox. As was suggested last year based on some night shots.

I am not a heights guy.. however I have definately graduated from ladder stands to hang ons for ease of use and versatility. That said I am connected 100% of the time in a modern harness and safety line. That guy doesnt look like he was in a modern harness at all. I have several ground blinds as well. Different tools for different jobs. If I owned my own property I would have elevated box blinds. Sadly. I dont. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Thanks for the tip. I figured since I am not clearing down to the soil and am leaving the layer of dead weeds I should throw .5x more seed to ensure higher chance of getting the seed in contact with soil Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

After a year of neglect I was finally able to connect with my buddy to redo our poor man's plot. We had great success the first year. Second year after neglect weeds took over most of it. But the deer still browsed through. This year it is fully over grown with brambles. We spent a few hours. Getting rid of downed trees, branches. I weed whacked everything down about half its height. From an average 3 feet to 1.5-2feet tall. We then went through with glyphosate and sprayers and soaked everything. I plan on going back in a week to get some cams out there and to check the effectiveness of the spray. And respray parts if needed. I'm looking at seed blends now. We did a clover blend the first year. But to be honest it just didnt grow well even after limeing the soil (which actually tested pretty well before lime). It never achieved it's possible height. We took it down to the dirt the first year. Broke up the soil and raked in the seed. This year more trees are down so there will be more light in our little 20x40yard plot in the middle of the woods. I'm looking at just whacking down the dead plants and heavily heavily broadcasting in a seed blend. Without working it into the soil. Probably a full 50lb bag. Just to be sure. I was looking at whitetail institute pure attraction. But then saw their no-plow blend. I'd like the plot to hold food similair to snowpeas, and winter oats, into the end of November . Recomendations on a seed blend for my purposes? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Looks like sniper elite 370 can use a pse cocker.. but it goes on the buttstock pad... so definately doable. But would have to remove each time to fire the bow.... Also is it safe to say that the scope etc with barnett would be higher quality than centerpoint? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

So I had an appointment for my shoulder. Post op. Doc says 4 months before I should be drawing my bow. Cant be having that so its cross bow time. Looking at the barnett recruit terrain [250] and the whitetail hunter 2 (300)... Specifically because they accommodate an integrated crank. Both currently "on sales Is it worth spending an additional 50$ for 20fps and 20ish ft lbs kinetic? As far as I can tell they weight the same and dimensions are the same. Possible 45-50yard shots. I've looked at centerpoints and pse and carbon xpress... none have as streamlined of a crank cocker and are heavier when in this price range. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
