So this is the first year I have really had bucks.. out of 5 years this new property I got this year seems to be abundant. Today I actually saw some chasing. I'm sitting on the edge of a field at the top of a ridge going through it. Across the field is nice woods. Can see for 20-100yards depending on the line. All season I've had deer coming through the field from behind me (again awesome woods but I can't hunt them) and heading into the woods across from me. Or vice versa... in the am they go in. And pm is when I see them come out. There is also corn still standing at one end of the woods. So my question. Is. Should I keep hunting the field? Or throw a stand up in the woods? Sat till 9am. Took lunch break. Had great idea to set the climber over some scrapes. When I went back in at 12. Sweating bullets and soaked all my layers. Got aet up and Stripped down to dry out and freeze my ads for a bit when suddenly my stomach cramped and burgled. Had to get down that tree fast as all he'll. Massive runs leaning against a tree with 3 paper towels. Thought about throwing in the towel but didn't want to ditch my buddy. Got half way back up and had to scramble back down again and shit. Well the day after I post I saw I have only seen one buck in my life; i see 2 this morning. Sat from 530am to 446pm and no deer after 830. But I saw 2 bucks in one day. Breaking records this year. Pretty boring rest of the day tho. First was a spike. 2nd was a big body looked like a 4. Hindsight being what it is I should have taken the 4. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Already regretting moving to the woods lol. I forgot how limited viewing is from the ground compare to a tree stand. When in the woods. Don't like it. No sir, not one bit. And these woods aren't even dense. Thinking I'll push out of here at 2 to catch the evening field action. Going to have throw a Hang on stand up in here. Pretty woods. I fall into that category. I have only ever seen a buck 1 time ever in 4 seasons of hunting. Last year. And I took it. Only had bucks on camera 3 or 4 times. Out in the country further my buddies place has a much lower number of deer this year and what seems to be an increase in coyote activity compared to previous years. Have a cam over a scrape that popped up. Got a nice sequence of a Fisher. And then this deer came through this morning. Looks like a fork on one side and a single on the other. But it looks kinda wide for a 3 point . 2yr old with bad genes? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
