  2. That was my guess. Thanks for all the input. How do you guys manage all your gear in the climber? Dont really wanna be screwing things in and out of random trees. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2

  5. Having never used rage heads this may or may not be a stupid question. How would the blades have deployed without some form if solid hit from the heads central mass? Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2
  6. Well I successfully made it up a tree. Let's hope getting down works out too skeeters and black flies are out in force Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2
  7. Hi there So I took the time to read my safety instructions on the new Viper SD XXX Climber I picked up, it states not to use on trees with loose or slippery bark, or on trees coated in ice, all logical statements. It then proceeded to say not to use in the rain... or to use hang-ons in the rain either. I've used hang-ons in the rain for years, but with this being my first climber thought I should ask your opinion on use. Is this a liability clearing statement rather than an official policy? Surely a climber must be ok to use in the rain / after the rain, otherwise thee'll be very very few days I can actually use this thing. Opinions please
  8. From your snopes link : In October 2012, David Siegel, the founder and CEO of Westgate Resorts, sent a modified version of this letter to all of his employees. He based his missive on that much-circulated 2008 piece, saying of his offering: "I did use the letter that had circulated before as a guideline, but I changed it [to fit my circumstances]. It speaks the truth and it gives [employees] something to think about when they go to the polls." Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2
  9. Sad news. Goes to show you can't be too careful or too prepared for the improbable. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2
  10. 7J, First Ever Bow Kill, wife was late getting back to watch the kids so thought I was screwed, decided to go to a spot closer to home for the last hour of daylight. Was there about 10 mins when this doe started milling around, I waited about another 5 for her to present a broadside shot somewhere within 40yds. Arrow hit a twig on the way to her and she shrank down and back, so it took her in the throat instead of the heart, but result was the same. She expired within 50yards. First time using Easton Tracers, pretty sweet seeing that arrow pass through her.
  11. I have a remington 700 in 270. Sighted in and hunt with hornady "custom" ammo. Great caliber, great ammo. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2
  12. Howd ya make out buckyboy Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2
  13. 7j ground blind til 9 then moved to this stand. After 15 mins had a button buck come through just breaking every dead twig on his way. Walked by me at 15 yards, sounded like an army of deer or chipmunks. Nope just him by his lonesome looking to die. Hopefully others let him go too, need some mature bucks with those dumbass genes.
