My guess would be doe but I'm no expert, I've been told that the sloping of the head like that would indicate doe more than a square blocky head... but I shot a nice doe in muzzle loader last year that had a square block head so ....

One other thing I'll say about the scentote is that it is very heavy duty, far more so than any other tubs I own.
-
You can get a kit to make a regular tub airtight.. for the $30 you may save I'm lazy and just bought the scentote. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2

I have a bushnell hd max coming, got it from ll bean so lifetime warranty, I got an ll bean visa, so free return shipping too. Despite these warranty options, the wildgame possibly being away during required times was reason enough to not get another

yeah trigger speed is pathetic, also it seems to need a certain amount of stop start motion to actually trigger at all? At least my first did...

Good luck Grow, hope it all turns out ok in the end. I know you said the farmer sprayed some chemicals, did he also spread manure? Wondering whether he was the cause of the bacterial presence or just soil infiltration from the storm? Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2

the yellow is my property outline, the green bubble is where there once was a ton of thick stuff but we cut some trails through it for some stand sites and a winter wheat plot, seems like we've seen less deer since then so maybe this falls in line with what you were talking about "tangled mess" / bedding area.

Yes

Should I be starting a new thread for this? Just realised I kinda hijacked hunters thread, even though it is all plot related

I have 58 acres, 30 of which is open , the other 28 woods and valleys, ridges etc. I have a 4 wheeler, roller, small 24hp yanmar tractor, brushhog and a rototiller I share with nybuckboy. What other equipment should I be thinking of? In the valley I have some apple / crab apple / scrub brush, that chinese something or other bushy plant. I see you say to stake the drip lines, when should this be done? should anything be done to prune up the trees? Would they benefit from me removing the other tree-like plants around them? If I were to plant more fruit trees, would pears be better than apples? or do you think a mix of both? I'm thinking of seeding some of the wheeler trails with clover... I'll try and post an aerial photo so you can better see what I'm talking about.... going to bed now though, been up since 4am

the replacement work ok since?

If you are good at chemistry : http://hackaday.com/2011/10/17/making-luminol-from-household-chemicals/ not something I'd recommend unless you're pretty handy with chemicals / bunsen burners etc , it makes some toxic byproducts

if you don't mind spending the $10.00 , this might help... maybe a local hunting store may carry it : http://www.wildgameinnovations.com/products/blood-trail-game-recovery/after-shottm.html makes any blood flourescent blue in the dark, even after rain , like what blood spatter folks use

I've heard it before.... can't say I've tried it, but they don't like human scent so it can't hurt

I suck at follow up shots with my bolt action 700 .270, so always do my best to make the initial shot count

they do head for water often with gut hits, but your arrow seems to indicate this wasn't the case... no funny smell or anything.. ?
-
if he was bleeding well you should see it smeared on the goldenrod with a hit that high it will be dripping down the body, but on the flip side I've hit high and had them live and return later in the season before

2 years ago I had a buck and doe circling around and around , she wasn't having it but he wasn't giving up, that was the 9th, was pretty comical to watch.
