NO actually they dont let you use your own bow for liability reasons... they also said that they are not testing you for accuracy but more watching for the safety aspects of it... they wanna be sure you know how to do it safetly

Its a very easy test... just remember the correct answer to the shooting times question is sunrise to sunset.... thats the only one i got wrong

BTW im planting Master Plot from Wildgame Innovations, its got forage oats winter peas sweet clover and forage rape... plus im gonna mix a little soybean seed in with it...

My bow course... took it at jims archery shop in pulaski on saturday. passed with only one question wrong, so now im an official NY Bowhunter!!! yehaw!!! oh the one thing they stressed like crazy was RAZOR SHARP broadheads... that stuck with me... i think im gonna be doing some sharpening before the season even tho mine are brand new... instructor told a story bout a deer he shot, thing looked up glanced around and went back to eating... he said it was bleeding like a stuck pig and he could see his arrow in the ground on the other side of the deer, anyhow long story short deer stands there eating for a little bit and then drops over dead... easiest blood trail ever lol

This is EXACTLY what ive been trying to drill into my brothers head in regard to our games that we play at our annual martin family days... im team captain for the one team and my bro kinda has the idea "we cant win" i told him i would rather face the whole other team alone than with a team of people that thinks like him... i think he is starting to realize that "where there is a will there is a way"

I do NOT promote making bad shot/decisions but it WILL happen to everyone at some point of another... its all part of hunting and im willing to give a fellow hunter some grace because i know that in a month or so from now i could do the EXACT same thing, not on purpose of course but still it could very well happen...
