actually guys it doesnt sound like a bad idea..then lets soak our underwear in battery acid for a few hours before wearing them at least hes thinking of stuff, although hurting something hunters have been working hard for years to revive in this country doesnt sound like a good idea

it was just at a school.. it wasnt aimed at students apperently. it was a gang fight at a school

because the media got word of school and shooting, from what i am hearing this doesnt seem like a "school shooting". sounds like an argument between 2 people and guns got involved

msnbc said " federal officials say it is gang related" how true this is i dont know

culver you are correct those attachments arent on the bill... you would need just a solid barrel though like on a paintball gun so no suppressor or break can be added and im not sure if they make them. but i THINK if you cannot accommodate anything on that list onto your AR then it should be considered legal.. just get a handguard instead of rail mounts.. hell put a solid m16 stock and take the pistol grip off and that SHOULD IMO consider it leagl ANYONE ELSE HAVE ANY THOUGHTS? i just wrote to greg ball in my letter i asked if there was anything i could do besides sit here and write letters.. that most of the times arent even read by the person you send them to. but still i feel i cant just sit and write to people, i feel i need to be out there showing my support.. i am planning on going up to albany in febuaury for the next rally

i have read this bill over and over. and in my understanding, YES if you take off the pistol grip its no longer considered banned. as long as you dont put any other attachments on.. scope, flashlight/laser, bipod, nothing... i dont see how to hold an ar without the grip though

we ALL need to stand up now.. not just for the "assault weapons" but for all our weapons. if we stand here and do nothing they will think they can get away with this type of crap. next it will be they try to take everything from a red ryder bb gun to a barret .50 cal from us. and they WILL get away with this BS if we ALL dont speak up. ar owner or bennelli shotgun or even a .22lr we need to make a stand and not tell them but SHOW them we will not sit by and let us violate our rights. our forefathers would smack 7 shades of s*&^ out of us if we let this just roll by

did i say the cops and firemen/ emts who first got there said any of this.. no i said medical examiner. where you get this first responder thing is a mystery i dont think we will ever know. and yes this was the PERFECT excuse that the politicians who are against guns had to go forth in banning them.. let this digest for you the blood and bodies of those innocent children werent even cold yet by the time these people were ranting on cnn and msnbc about how bad the evil assault weapons are and how we should wake up and see that civilians dont need these evil devil guns. before the "evidence" of the long rifle even being on scene there were remarks flooding the tv and internet about banning ars and aks, etc etc etc i opened my eyes and saw something that day, i saw the rights of law abiding citizens such as myself and im sure others from this site, violated and stomped onto the ground, i saw politicians jump to help further their own political careers, i saw a criminal not obey a single gun law that day and by making new laws people feel that the criminals performing these outrageous acts will start following them, im not expert but im pretty sure criminals dont think like that. do i agree with SOME parts of the bill, yes i do, there should be a database and records for mentally unstable people, this bill should have focused more on the people of the state/ country but going after firearms was the complete wrong direction to go about solving this problem p.s sorry for the rant guys
