i understand what your saying, either way if someone did get hurt( employee or customer), it would have been autozones fault either way. so i guess to cover there own asses they dont allow it.. i mean if it was the store i work in then id be the one that is fired because i would have gotten my gun .. i usually have my shotgun in the car to
-
Ok so i just talked to my manager about this.. He said in no way does he agree to the firing. But he agrees and i sort of as well at what the brass said " say there were customers and the robber started shooting at the employee and hit an innocent bystander, Autozone would be at fault" now i agree but disagree to this.. Yea what if that happened. But it didn't so no reason to fire anyone
-
i honestly dont mind that really.. it allows the deer to mature or have a chance at least
-
they know its a safe zone in yards.. waterweasle, where is richardsville rd?
-
yea i think lockwood is dead for this season.. the problem is there is to much pressure so the deer either find somewhere else to go. also guys are taking anything they see and not letting anything mature
-
lol yea every time i go.. except early bow. there is at least 5 cars... hmm ill keep my eye out for baiting. i havent seen anything, but i havent really been looking either. next season i will have somewhere else to go. didnt have time this season to prepare. ive never scouted the lockwood side either.. maybe ill scout that out after the season and see what was or still is in there on that side. has he had any luck there this season?
-
i ended up not going.. ALL my hunting stuff except my gun and coveralls ended up being in the car thats not here .. i was going to go to the lockwood end not the dixon end.. ive never seen anyone on the lockwood end.. and i doubt people are walking from dixon end to that end
-
i walked around for a few hours last week and saw at least 7 scent sticks hanging
-
i honestly dont think its worth deer hunting there anyway. especially if you have other spots to hunt. its dead there.. been like that for over a week now
-
thanks.. i didnt think there was since you can hunt gut piles... with my luck though ill be out with the gun and see a deer and not be able to take him
-
the way i see it is, im not seeing deer might as well go hunt some yotes. plus theres only an hour left of light and my bow is in the trunk of the car over 2 hours away
-
hey guys sorry for the demanding title but im leaving in like 10 minutes.. im going to go try and get myself a yote. i have some old meat that i left out by accident and it reeks.. is there any laws about using it for coyotes as bait? ive never heard of one and cant find one anywhwre
-
this was from lockwood 2 days ago.. im actually about to go there now and do some yote hunting
-
i am going to bring this up to my manager, i doubt it will change the minds of corporate but i will def show my concern and thoughts about this.. hell maybe they will fire me for speaking my rights

been looking for a new job for a little while now

i work for autozone.. this is rediculas. in the policy if they store is being robbed we are not supposed to do anything.. we cant follow a robber, cant defend ourselves, nothing. i dont know about you guys but i would do the same as this guy. i might even bring this up to my manager tomorrow

wanting to do a food plot...but
Dan92 replied to loworange88's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
just a thought, put up a wooden fence blocking the cow pasture maybe just a straight line not boxed in just so the cows cant get in... if the food is good enough the deer will jump the fence no problem -
no wife here but im sure if i did it wouldnt be the strangest thing shes ever heard me say lol
