Wow those bullets are zipping along! That gun sounds like a real show piece, have you posted pics of it before?
-
So now you're condoning personal attacks? Seems like for quite a while here all you want to do is stir the pot. Are you like this in person?
-
LOL.........you crack me up Rob. I'll wait for the adults to chime in.
-
Mouth off? How about you GFY? Help me out, what does that thread have to do with the MIA politician?
-
Is the MIA fellow in question from Region 2? If so, maybe Mike is trying to get an answer from somebody that LIVES in that region that might just be looking into "Region 2 Hunting" and can catch us/him up on the reason this guy is no longer in his seat. Just a stretch though..... As Mel Gibson said in "Lethal Weapon".......Thin, real thin."
-
I'm going to guess 22".......to get the exact answer I'd have to get out of my Lazy Boy and go spin the dial on the S&G lock to check.
-
Oh stop it, keep that shiit up and I'll send you one...........

Yea, NOT closed faced reels...I f'd up the reply. Typing too fast; my brain and fingers are way the heck out of sync. Again. I saw where you mentioned the word Zebco and my thoughts went to a Zebco 33 or 303 or whatever it was I used as a little tyke. Decent stuff for what it was at the time..........shortly after the early days for me I started using a Garcia Mitchell 300. I still have a couple/few of them around. I'm pretty sure one of them is in the boat right now as a back up. Made in France IIRC............ All good rob..........
-
A spinning reel to me is an open faced reel. Those reels of yours I'd call "bait casters". Agree or not, give me your thoughts.
-
Ain't that weird, I haven't used a closed face real since I was 6 years old. You're still using one, dang.......... Maybe it's our age difference? My kids use them to this day but they aren't too experienced as they never had much interest. You ever use an open faced (radical design, I know) reel rob?
-
1,050+ ? Oh, THAT'S an order!!! IIRC I'm getting darn close to 3,400fps and GREAT accuracy. Hint......... What does the OTHER 1,000 consist of?
-
Sure, plenty of guys use ultralight spinning rigs. Completely different things though, as you know. When I was a kid (12-16) I fished a ton with both but spent quite a bit of time fly fishing with a buddy. We fished Springwater Creek, Cohocton River, Naples Creek and lots of farm ponds. I was never very good at it but did enjoy it. Cortland line on the Eagle Claw rod/reel combo is all I had at that age. I had an old Herter's vice and tied plenty of flies of my own design.....................WEIRD ass things that they were. AS I got older (17+) I REALLY got interested in women and fly fishing took a back seat (kind of a pun) to chasing split tail. For 20+ years I'd head down to Naples Creek for old times sake. My uncle had a camp in the area so it was an easy deal. We didn't fish much, just drove around drinking coffee and smoking a cigar or two. We'd stop for breakfast at the Redwood then head over to the fire hall and check the boards. If we had time, we would stop at Sutton's and peruse the isles; creaking floors only adding to the aura of the place. Good times............................. So in a nutshell, I haven't fly fished in MANY years and don't need to. Spin fishing it is.....as long as I can have my breakfast and cigars.

Hmm, I'll check the stash but since I NEVER even pulled the trigger on that centerfire or any other centerfire rifle on a deer I have a stinking suspicion I have enough. The lead free choice is never a bad choice........ Shawn.......you've shot them in your .243, correct? If so, what speed did you get and how was accuracy? To all you OTHER lug nuts, any changes for this coming Opening Day? TIA...........
-
LOL no, I wasn't thinking THAT Paula but since YOU brought it up.......

I'm just going to assume it's a .380 and not a .38 Either way, congrats and enjoy! I love pocket guns. I've got a few .38's, including a 342, 642 and 37. (All S&W of course) My next smallest is a S&W Shield in 9mm.........that's w inner too but a smidge too big for the FRONT pocket. Then there's the Kel Tec P32.......that's the go-to gun when I'm sporting the Speedo. -
Happy Birthday Dan! Hoping it's a great day/evening for you..................wherever you are, DON'T DRINK THE WATER. Beer only! I figured I'd toss in a few pics of the Mighty Midget too.......he's a huntin' and fishin' fool and a good guy too!
