Come on Shawn, you know what's going on here. I donated last year and this year to something I enjoyed immensely when I was doing it. You can't imagine how much fun it is and they are delicious table fare. I would enjoy hunting them here in New York and I bet you would too. I know you like to fish but you could find some time in September for a little bird hunting I bet....... Just for the record, nobody has asked for my address and I've just PM'd the members Mike's PO Box that have asked. I'm not going to be beating the drum like Mike, that isn't my gig. He has poured his (and his wife's) heart into this "initiative". Between the web site set up and continuing work, the Facebook and other sites he put this stuff on and the financial commitments out of THEIR pockets, I appreciate it greatly. About all I can do is help spread the word and donate a few bucks when I can. If anybody doesn't want to search the Dove Hunting web site for Mike's address, they can just get it from me. Or I'd be happy to give them my address.

Like I mentioned above, the Town Of Amherst will take them at their Highway Dept. They'll also take propane tanks, computers, monitors and concrete. The taxes are high enough here that they have to take them!

Some hard miles logged by shed hunters each year. Some guys on here make it look easy and as many others know, it ain't! Like I said, I busted my hump today to find that little bugger. IIRC last year I found nothing and looked much, much harder. Thumbs up to you dedicated guys!

Oh heck yes, I do it all the time but this was a nut buster! I thought about calling AAA and having them winch it out...........

I've had quite a "trail cam" season since last fall. I got my first real bear video, multiple (including another today) bobcat videos and today...............my first fisher video. I took a screen shot with my phone for upload here since uploading video is painful with my DSL. If I get time later, maybe I'll load the video. Here's what you get now..........

4+ hours for me today. I bet I crawled 250 yards on my hands and knees through some nasty holes, just bucky looking and found beans.............get all done and head over to pull my trail cams. Walk up the dike of my buddies pond to peak at the geese and find THIS..................... Let me tell you, I worked hard for that little bone! Oh well, all fun.

Although I held the door for little old ladies (music reference) at Tim Horton's this morning, I did another deed of greater importance later in the morning. I took a ride down to Canadice to retrieve trail cameras and hunt for sheds. I travel Middle Road all the time year round and pick up lots of trash when I have the time. There has been a TV in the ditch that I have been eye balling for 6 months. Some SOB tossed it late last summer IIRC and nobody else picked it up. Granted, it was rolled probably 25-30 feet down the bank and heavy as all get out. Today was the day that I had the time, gloves and right boots on my feet to get r done. Now the Town Of Amherst will get it........they have a drop off at the highway dept. I'll swing by some day this week and pitch it. In the mean time, if anybody wants it, holler. Did I mention it WAS heavy?

I get your point but is it really that big a deal? Mike was just looking for info from somebody in region 2 that might know what was going on. You jump on me because I was imbibing in some spirits and posted a response. I think I'm owed an apology....................until I get it, no more fishing tips for you.

Maybe now that we know what happened to the MIA republican, it WILL be about hunting when we see who replaces this fellow.
