  1. I remember this guy tughill something. Really didn’t like me when I joined for the same reasons others don’t. I remember him making the comment that nobody should worry about my elitist archery comments as I wouldn’t stick around long. I don’t see him around at all [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I’ve always struggled with people who vary their range or shots they would take based on the trophy. It should be a yes or no regardless. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. One buck, no shot on way in. 3 bb’s and the rest does. All family groups. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. 11 deer and plenty of shots tonight. Did not expect that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. It really is a nice afternoon. Too warm but a long week at work and I needed some woods therapy. Been in for a little while now. Jumped a nice buck on the way in that kind of bums me out. There was a doe with him and I waited a while and almost got a shot. I wasn’t going to take her but tempted as I’ve never shot one on the ground before. 5 minutes in the stand and a bb so far. By himself which makes me wonder if mom kicked him out already. That would be good! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. the thing is awesome, it just takes up a lot of space. i think it's from the 60's. commercial grade and no documentation available for how to run it lol. I plan to tinker with it in the fall, the only issue is that it's a 2 man lift to get it anywhere and i don't have the table space to just keep a slicer out year round lol. i'll let you know.
  7. how'd you like the slicer? i have an old dehydrator and i tried manually slicing some a few years ago and realized i just wouldn't get consistent jerky that way. some were too tough. I have an ancient commercial slicer that weighs a million pounds and just not worth trying to get to work.
  8. Sweet baby Jesus! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. you may not have grounds with the legal courts, and this condition doesn't warent it, but the civil courts have a whole different playbook. see OJ being innocent and losing all his shit in civil.
  10. i don't think you're in the minority. i use it less even with a larger screen.
  11. the web version on my 6 is passable, but not ideal. Certainly a bummer of a time for it to go down. It also doesn't work on my ipad which i like to scroll through while watching football. again the web works, but really not ideal. Other forums work on tapatalk so i really think something broke either with the forum update.
  12. frost! sweet glorious frost! and i'm at work with no chance of taking time off
  13. the same hook type scale you may use when hanging your deer can be used for draw with a pretty good degree of accuracy.
  14. still broken for me. any progress?
  15. good luck. I spent 4 months looking for something ~$300k with land in monore or wayne. I still have an email alert and over a year later one still hasn't shown up that isn't all the way in sodus or a complete dump of a house. So here I sit in a nice house... on 3/4 acre. lol.
  16. haha i remember that thing with Ants. Shawn and I would butt heads and his business spam annoyed me... but if I had to bet, he left because he wasn't as "white" as some of the members here. I forget his buddies name who I don't see anymore either. lost most of our diversity here... and I still wonder why...
  17. moving out of state or staying local?
  18. Jealous of you all this morning. Really smelled and felt like deer season this morning. May have taken a half day if i wasn't being audited this week. G.D life getting in the way of my woods time.
  19. But you CAN burn yourself and your stands out. Warm and wind and possibly rain are not good. Guys need to be patient, get your fall chores done and go hard in a few weeks. i put my motorcycle away yesterday not because I can’t ride it anymore but it’s a chore that’s now done so I can hunt more when the conditions are right.
  20. Even there more often than I want to admit. Old sayings like “you’ll be rewarded with patience” and crap... and of course not wanting to wound. A few still haunt me including a nice 8 from last year, I can’t imagine a 140...
  21. I think what sucks is that some of these guys had some great knowledge and tips but got caught up in the bs. Our loss in my opinion.
  22. Agreed. There will be work involved, but this guy is a dick and shouldn’t get away with it. Ashamed another hunter would do this to our own. He should plant some stuff if he wants to keep the, on his land.
