only if you know jesus is guiding your arrow. if you are truly without sin, he will make it happen.
-
he still hangs it for skinning. you really want to let it hang for a bit to drain. it's also a LOT easier to pull the hide off

i did plastic but found cardboard to be good too. we all buy enough crap now where i just save some of the bigger sections. absorbs the blood and then to the recycler lol. hair just vacs or sweeps up. Skin and clean up is quick i agree. I tend to cut steaks and roasts while it's hanging instead of quartering the hinds. but yeah the real pain is vac and grind. another trick i learned was to use some good manual hedge trimmers to do the neck and leg bones. just clips right through. no saw required.

i'd really think the wife would be happier with one inside then out... i really don't like leaving deer outside. it could be early and warm, it could be rainy, it's unprotected from sun, contaminants and other hungry critters. even with a portable i'd put it in the garage. At most it's hanging for a night or maybe 2. If she's not ok with that, I'm not sure she will be thrilled about the garbage full of the remains or the mess in the kitchen from cutting it up. and being inside will be a lot nicer during the skinning process. with a 9' ceiling i'd recommend a simple pulley system with gambrel, but make sure it's a locking one, not one you have to tie off. they run like $20 at dicks. Then if your ceiling is exposed, lay a 2x6 vertically across 3 joists and secure it to the truss with 2 screws at each truss so it's secure and wont flop over. then just thread a heavy duty eyebolt to the 2x6 in the middle. i would not recommend just threading an eyebolt to a single joist, you want to spread the weight out over 3 if you can. If your ceiling is drywalled and isn't exposed it gets a little more complicated and your portable solution will be easier. just need to make sure you have room to store it when not in use.

what's the height of your garage ceiling?

I haven't hunted as long as a lot of members, but over 15 years of hunting has taught me this. You just gotta get out there. I've seen and killed deer in some of the most non-ideal situations and been voided with absolute perfect ones. I know it's just a discussion topic, but this time a year especially the only thing that matters is the birds and the bees and being in the right place when the birds are ready

when i was in college i was standing in the hallway of our frat house with some buddies waiting for the pisser to become available. it was a mexican party theme and we were all drinking margaritas out of the special glasses and of course we were all really hammered. anyhow i go to take a sip and my buddy goes to high five someone. As I'm sipping his elbow pushes the rim of the glass into my face and it shatters. I don't feel anything but the look on everyone's face told me all I needed to know. The cut was only a cm from my eye (someone was watching over me), but the blood started gushing good and a I had 5 stitches that night. After the stitches were removed i religiously applied this stuff call ScarZone i picked up from the drug store because the cut was right between my eyes. The stuff worked great and you can only see the scar when I tan or certain angles if you look really hard.

you hit one?

what show is that? sounds like my style.

cool. for some reason i thought you lived in walworth. I think your daughter will do just fine. scar or not. Any girl who has that nice smile and likes guns will have to fight the guys off.

Uneventful sit. Really thought I’d get some cruisers with the temp drop Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

#1 child or child #1? Lol Did she go to Wayne? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If it’s not in place yet a good torture for the residents of hell would be to have red squirrels just chattering in your face. Wtf Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I tapped out too but got back in when my dvr was boring me. It gets a little better than a little worse. Not a bad watch, but you’re not missing anything. I think they went too quickly into human camp conflicts. I always liked the groups on the road exploring and fighting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I can’t help but love Neegan. He is just so well played. He had a line after the tripwire bomb that had me pissing my pants “Well Rick, looks like the fun has started” or something like that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Snuck out of work early and in the stand. Jumped 2 different doe in different spots which always sucks. Almost had a perfect shot at one. Beautiful night and finally some cooler temps in 8f Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Doable but not ideal. I thought she had a knee injury or something too from tripping over a root which makes this seem even more unnecessary. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ain’t this the truth. I hunt private land and I believe Grow does too. there’s really no chance anyone is getting busted for anything unless you’re dumb. Still an interesting debate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Point is, all you need to be ticketed is reasonable suspicion. Treyvon is on your side Grow lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah I know I just won’t pay more for just one show I might sometimes watch. Netflix didn’t have all the meateater episodes but nice to watch in HD because pursuit isn’t. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

When you know the theme song to that, Mickey Mouse clubhouse and pj masks... Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Again in agreement. But that’s the situation we are in. Maybe, just maybe we can all at least agree that this one is not worth the effort and risk. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What if I shot a buck early in the season and just used my last dmp. I’m now in the stand waiting the standard 30 minutes before I get down to track. New arrow is nocked in case I see a yote or turkey or better yet the doe is wounded. Unbelievably a ECO shows up to check on a complaint. Am I now hunting illegally without a tag? This game can be played all day haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have a fall turkey tag and would shoot a Tom if one shows. Same way a lot of guys end up with black bears. I think it’s hard and uncommon to hunt both effectively. Not impossible but ideally you’re not up in a tree clucking while also rattling. My fanny pack of gear and camo is also the same, except I wear a vest full of calls, no scentlok baselayers and a decoy bag in the spring. In the fall I have a few deer calls. I’m sure that approach is more common than it is rare. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

and here we have it. she's off the reservation again with no admission of even the slightest bit of guilt. time to put a pin in this one.
