nice! tall pines seems like a cool place. private property riding out here but a place like that is extremely important to the future of recreational vehicles. most people don't have a place to ride and a local club just doesn't have the funds some times to support having land here in NYS. -

i started out with a Winchester '94 30/30 with 150 grain Remington Core-lokt ammo. also i've taken deer with a lighter loaded 50 cal muzzleloader. both of those had varying results to dropped where it stood to a reasonable tracking job.

i've wondered if it's hold together well enough for a deer. i use that round on woodchucks ever summer. seems it'd be behind the shoulder double lung or heart shot. wouldn't try sending it through bone. pieces would probably be every where in the deer i'd think.

Especially from the ocean just because you can clean cook and eat something doesnt mean you should. Some stuff will ruin your day. My knowledge of stuff up there sucks. new john wick 3 movie he used a horse in a city police stable to take out a handful of bad guys. it was a movie but being around a farm and knowing how much damage a kick could do i wouldn't want to be near any horse while shooting a gun or with gun fire around.

just a straight up museum or history i never cared for. some stuff is more interactive and American history based. revolution rail is fun i'm told but much better around fall when leaves change. there's always tubing the rivers. around here we have places to rent you tubes and pick you up.

those deer are conditioned to not fear the horses. also i don't think they get off the horse ever. plus no guns. there's a lot going on to make that work like it does. illegal to shoot from and not too exciting but i can drive the farm tractors almost right up to much of the deer that are around the farm. they've known it for years and don't associate it with danger. it's all relative.

On the east side of syracuse is Green Lakes SP. water is pretty cool and they have a decent size beach. never been except for once for a meeting with the DEC big game unit. seemed nice though.
