early bow?

Very true,Its part of the year for me.I take at least a few days off of work and get back into the swing of thing up north then.We usually taga few deer aso and that takes the pressure off so I can consentrate on getting my buck.I love last years camp weekend, great friend, hunting, a few cold drinks and the start of a new deer season.........nothing better!!

4. When you go to knock on the door do not tell them that you "looked them up on the tax map".I do the same and some people that have given me permission have told me after they get to know me that they fealt like they were being watched or spied on.Just go and ask is the best way I have found to get permission.I always give someone who has given me permission some meat, gift card for a night out to dinner or just stopped by from time to time to plow the driveway shovel a walkway or help. That goes a long long way and Ihave gotten a few places to hunt just by doing this and the owners spreading the word.
5. Thats why I didnt want to just buy one.I have heard both good and bad about the open front stands.I like my viper buy a few times the bar in front has either screwed me or almost. In fact last years buck was so close I had to stand on my toes to shoot him because he was only 8 yards me.
6. I have had my Viper for about 5-6 years now and love all the summit stands but have been thinking of trying a Razor for the open front style.Anyone have the razor here? And if you do and are close could I try it out at your place?
7. I will let the guy that caught it know. Thanks
8. I didnt he did. From what I hear its ok so I will post one up
9. Until I find out its ok to take a pic of a sturgeon out of the water I wont post a pic,its seems to be a bit of a grey area from what I have read online and also a DEC officer I called.
10. One of the guys I work with caught this last night while going after catfish.47 inches 38 pounds, released unharmed
11. Yea,I serve them with a side of a punch in the eye!!!
12. Had 4 different gobblers answering back to us today.
13. Worked for me calling in one for a friend,Gobbled 4-5 times and did some loud yelps and here comes a hen with a jake in tow.15 minutes later the hen was at 5 yards and the jake at 25....and his head was full of pellets!!
14. Check out Ulmer edge,I used to love the old 2 blade spitfires when they first came out. Then they discontinued them. When my supply of hoarded broadheads ran out I tried a few but went back to shooting fixed blade NAP thunderheads for a few ears till the Ulmers came out.The ulmer is a awesome head.I will be shooting them for a while. Absolutely destroys deer, and with any luck I will let you know what they do to bears the last week of August when I go to Maine.
15. I bought a simmons pro diamond 1.5-6 on ebay brand new in box last night for 40 dollars.Going to mount it up over the summer and see how I like it.
16. I am referring to low light gathering for early morning shots, not the rightness setting of the dot.I have to replace my scope on my deer rifle first and after that I will be getting a scope for my shotgun.y then I will have narrowed down a choice.
17. I have heard alot of complaint about the red dots being to dark for early morning shooting.I know the last time I hunted with one(10-12 years ago) thats the reason I switched to a scope, but I was hunting deer and I would assume red dots have changed a ton by now.
18. Think I am going to look at a simmons with a pro diamond reticle
19. I had 4 jakes come in saturday without a decoy. It was tough but they came in for a shot.I think it really depends on the bird.I also think if you cant give it a little movement its might not work this late in the year.
