  1. I am thinking about trying a scope or red dot and wanted to hear some success or failures if you had any.
  2. I dont think so,we have had better luck on the properties I hunt in the last few years, but I also think that the season needs to start a week or two earlier.
  3. Could be a sting,I am not trusting anyone anymore.Wouldnt surprise me if it were P.O. trying to get a few tits in a ringer!!
  4. awesome,I never thought about doing that!
  5. what wny said, some things this world could do without though
  6. Yea whatever he says will be wrong anyways!!LOL
  7. Theres a ton of great state land around you to hunt on,I deer hunt in the Barnes Corners area for deer and sometimes turkeys.Love that area and will one day have a camp up there
  8. Had 4 jakes come in this am....only 3 left.heard 4 other places on the farm that had gobbles coming from it.I think the commission from the farming equipment made the birds leave the area for a bit,but they are back in full force now!! this is the first bird that I actually blew his head off!!HAHAHA I was going to post a pic but figured I better not
  9. This is a bigger factor than coyotes killing birds, the eggs getting eaten by small animals befor ethe become turkeys is a major problem.I kill as many as I can(during season of course) and a trapper friend takes any racoon possum and fox that I get.the skunks he goes and gets!!LOL
  10. Inside his head "if that ledge was a little taller........I could push her for the insurance" Out of his beek "what ducklips nothing, coming dear!"
  11. Went out this am and busted one from the roost becuase I didnt hear him go into the roost last night,I also heard one this am about 300-400 yards away.
  12. We see flocks like that now during the fall.I think that all the commotion in our fields shut em down for a bit.I talked to a few guys that hunted 1/4 mile away to the east and another 1/2 to the west and they are seeing and hearing birds.
  13. Went out tonight and watched one lone hen go in to roost,The winds where so bad I didn't head over to the other side to listen to gobbles on the roost.I am going to give it a chance n the am and see what happens. If I dont see anything I will leave the property alone fora week or so
  14. same here, been trying like crazy for that first bear though
  15. didn't hear anything this am,I could only sit till 7 though
  16. I doubt it but it seems like it.I have seen them and or heard gobbles every night I have went out to roost some.I only bumped them once and that was may 3rd.I went out tonight and noticed the farmer spread potash on all his fields from monday morning through today and I didn't see one bird or hear a single gobble. I know they didn't just up and leave but would the fields all spread in pot ash do anything to push the birds out of all the fields or is it just a coincidence.Heading out in the am to see what happens anyways.
  17. Willy goes in depth as to why he feels the show does so good. Its a good read for anyone who likes the show.
  18. and people wonder why they get their identities stolen when they just throw their info out there for anything. They didn't even listen to the guy all they heard was repeal the 2nd......and they signed. He could have said after if you sign this you are giving us the right to search your homes first and thank you!!
  19. Awesome, very cool that you got him into it and not the other way around.
