    Anyone else feel that the state need to divide the state up in more than a northern southern and Long Island zone? Long Island has a longer bow season and the northern zone starts earlier? But here in wny there are more deer then people know what to do with. You figure areas like 9 A and 9 F would get an extend season. Just my .02 cents

    marine land is the worst. They had a number of whales a few years ago but they kept dying. Seaworld actually went in and took one if there whales back. They also are breaking a law because they only have one whale and that is against some law they have

    i think they need to do a better job of splitting up the state in terms of zones. Areas like 9a and 9f are full of deer. They should also have more of an incentive for land owners to open there land to hunting. My buddy nuisance hunts a farm in 9 f last year shot 20 deer durning that season then shot 3 more during regular season. I was out coyote hunting the property later in the year and saw 15 plus deer in 2 hours

    You can use a pistol in shotgun only areas in any caliber during deer. The rule says no rifles in shotgun only. Nothing about calibers

    I believe for bobcats you need a special permit. I may be wrong though

    Out today using my tripod stool. Doesn't help the snow is taller then my seat. Doing some walking around looking for tracks

    not as many people predator hunt same thing as in you can use a pistol in shotgun only abd they can be any caliber

    Clearly there is some misunderstanding over the rule but I highly doubt a dec officer would ever write you a ticket for shooting a coyote during deer season or any other season that your in as long as coyote is in season.

    if you area is shotgun only you cannot uses a rifle larger the .22 during the season so October 1st to December 17

    You can use whatever you want outside of any deer season. I contacted the local dec off in the buffalo area asking about Clarence ny 9f area he said use whatever you want outside of deer season

    There are two good stands on my property my brothers is at the top of the hill in the corner of the pines. He always shoots a deer there opening day. The other is at the other end of our property which belongs to my uncles buddy that stand always produces. I put up a stand this year and I shot my 11 pt out of it so I'd say that's kinda success full. That stand is at the bottom of the hill about a 100 yards below my brothers stand
