I remember my first time ice fishing a few years ago at the small boat harbour in buffalo my brother and I got out of the hut at the same time on a windy night with no snow on the ice. The hut took off on the ice thank god it hit the break wall other wise I may have been going to canada

Wish I was at camp tonight super bright by my house can imagine it's just as bright down at camp -
I got it and had my turkey tags but I didn't turkey hunt at all. I lost the form anyways
-
but that either sex tag is only good for bow and late season not regular
-
you have till March 31 st to get them I'd wait till after ml season.

My property is forecasted to get 30 inches of snow before the weekend is up according to the paper. Now I doubt that we will get that much but will deer be moving with that much snow on the ground?

You want the wind in your face that means your down wind. Always try to be downwind

There is the Alabama swamps near buffalo it's about 35 minutes away. Not too many bow hunt that area. Also there is darian lake state park that's about 40 minutes away. I've never bow hunted that before. As for tags you need to purchase a license idk the cost but your bow tag will have a buck tag and a either sex tag. You bow tag can be used anywhere in the state where you can legally hunt. Also you can get dmp tags those are area specific. Land owners can be hit or miss. Start early to get permission to hunt -
Congrats on your sons first deer
-
i love how hunting after this year I was just wondering why they give you tags without completing the coarse
-
I think it was bad genetics or it broke off
-
my brother shot a 1.5 to 2.5 year old button buck this year
-
Side question. What's the point of taking the archery coarse when all you could do is buy a muzzleloading tag and it works for both
-
Walked the state land today didn't see any tracks at all
-
Couple inches of snow in 9k all old snow thou. Still looking for that 4-6 inches we were suppose to get but can't seem to find it
-
I did not setiting that up today got to camp late my buddy was already sleeping
-
I usually sit in the shed like blind we have on top of the hill abd put my e caller out as far as I can so the remote still works. The blind is on top of a hill. My buddy thinks he found there den at the far end of the property today so I'll have to check it out tomorrow.

I have lights but my property is hardwoods. So if it's dark like tonight it's tough to hunt them. Tomorrow after my morning hunt I'm going to take a ride to see if I can't get permission to hunt some fields surrounding my camp there is a good size one across the street and I usually hear them in that direction

a 20 ga has much better ballistics then a 12 ga
-
I'd be out now but it's overcast and the snows not reflective at camp. Might change if the dogs start making a racket
-
I bought my gun used at gander mountain it was one of the guys behind the gun counter before he shot a wood chuck at 600 yards with it so he says. Had a 800 dollar scope on it though

I was just wondering because when you fill out a tag is technically when you harvest it. I already shot a regular season buck abd have dmps for my area I was just thinking with the season winding down what would happen in this situation
