Are there any food plots that can handle standing water for a day or two at a time? My lease is on low land. Dense woods accept for a few openings that get minimum required sun light. The problem is that on a hard rain these places will get standing water for a day or two. Are there any type of plus that can manage to grow with these conditions? Well back on my lease. I have been hunting my apples but not song anything. I think they are hitting them at dark. Moved to a different spot. Travel route to the apples to try to jump on them early. Problem is that the rain flooded it with 2-4 inches of water. Think the deer will still use the route? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2

Well saw nothing. Same spot where I wounded the buck on Sunday. At first light Iook down and fresh scrape right under my tree. Looked around and there is a fresh scrape line so that looks promising. Going its the same buck and he lived. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2

My cabin in the tug Hill is covered up with ruffled grouse. Can't seem to walk with out tripping on a few. Was just at 3 rivers on Sunday and saw a pheasant just chilling on an access rd. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2 -

Yeah my brother got a set up from then and they messed up his drop away and had to get it adjusted for clearance. I just bought a bow press and have been learning to do my own work. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2

I guess im not a hunter...been harvesting deer for 15 years but only started using cams 3 yrs ago. I don't use cams to replace woodsmanship. I already know where the deer are. I just like to see what deer I have coming by. Its more fun than anything else. Hunt how you hunt. Ill hunt how I do but how dare you judge me as a hunter. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2

Yup my lease in dewitt is horrible for mosquitos. Dropped my pack on opening morning and was getting torn up. Climbed back down. For the thermacell and after 5 to 6 minutes not a single bite. I put a velcro tape on mine and velcro it to my climber right under my seat. I will not go in the woods without it early season. It is probably the most important piece of my equipment outside my bow and arrows. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2

Good luck with them. They nickle and dime you for everything even after they promise to take care of you after you do 1400 on a new set up. 7 out of 10 times you have to fix what they mess up also. I either take my stuff to kleins archery in dryden or do it myself. LoF will never get another dime from me. Most of the work is done by the kids. Jeff is always too hung over from his last bender. Wrong. If your field points and fixed heads are not hitting the same spot your bow is out of tune. Moving your sight is a bandaid. If your bow is not tuned properly you are losing potential energy. By fine tuning your bow correctly by making micro adjustments to your rest you can have the same poi with both fps and bhs. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2

I started getting more blood spots like this. Tracked it to about 100 yards and now I'm backing back out. I don't know what to think. Anyone shot a deer and had no blood on the shaft or head? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2

Well found blood and found my arrow but no blood on the shaft. Blood was sparce at first 1 to 2 dropsv every 15 ft or so. Then after about 65 yards it picked up and found this Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2

Well im soaked. Got into stand must bad a buck sneak in at me down wind. He wheezed and then stepped out.. slight quartering away. I climbed 6 inches to high and didn't have clearance and had to duck which played havoc on my form. Sour looked low but I could be wrong since it's first light. Coukdnt count the points or see the rack other than it was outside the ears. Im hunting 3 rivers wmu today . Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2

Yup get in before light and dont come out until after dark. They tend to move mostly at first light and dusk like others have said. I dont do to many all day sits. I usually go home for a couple mid day. Get some food and catch a nap. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2
