buck forage oats question
jesse.james replied to yukonhunter's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
How much direct sun do they need. I'm thinking About planting some throw and grow because it works with not a ton of sun. -

I picked up a lease from limestoneridgeproperties.com. smaller properties but affordable. I picked up 80 acres for $600

I use camo paint. I have unscented baby wipes to take it back of when I get to my truck. That's for early season or warm weather. Once it gets cold I switch to a facemask

Im building an ashby arrow this year. Overly stiff spine in the .250 range probably VAP v1s. Then a 90 gn insert on the front then a 145g single bevel phathead on the front. Should blow through just about anything. Ends up being about a 20% FOC and around 520 grains of arrow.

Well I think I figured out why it was so cheap lol. My brother and I went out to scout and put up trail cams. The land is almost perfectly flat and low lying. Looks like during a heavy rain it gets alot of run off. A large portion of it had about 1 inch of mud on it over hard dirt. We had a down pour 2 nights ago. Needless to say was easy to Scott and track but by far the worst mosquitos I've ever encountered. My brother and I easy had 500 mosquitos circling us at all times. I wore short sleeves. My mosquito bites have mosquito bites. Got 6 cams up though. When I go back in 2 weeks I'm going prepared. Mosquito nets. Long sleeves and gloves. Well be using lots if bug spray scent be damned.

This needs to go away. Causing alot of tension at my work with others I've concidered friends. I hate how others are sticking everyone into this race war and drawing that line for me. That being said I don't feel I'm racist but if that line gets drawn I know shay side my feet will be planted.

Same here. I keep meaning to get out and haven't.

Property manager contacted me. There is a second parcel adjacent to the first. He is getting me a tax map.

2008 Honda Foreman 500 ES
jesse.james replied to Adkhunter1590's topic in Non Hunting Items For Sale and Trade
agreed. This atv will be limited to private property only. Take it on the road or state lands without a plate registration and title and you are asking for major trouble. -
well it was off of their website. I originally found them on Craigslist but they do have there own site. They didn't get me for much. It's more about the misrepresentation. I only paid 600 for the 80 acres.

im checking my receipt soon as I get out of work. Im almost positive it only says the address of the property and does not specify the acreage although I do have something my brother wrote up that I made them sign. I hope he listed the acreage on it.
-
I emailed them. I hope it was an error and they rectify it. They do most of there advertising on Craigslist. If they don't I'll be forced to keep flagging all of there listings and creating scam alert posts on Craigslist.
-
Frustrated!!!! So I had Ariel photos and a pic of the property map on the advertisement of the lease. My brother takes the map and inputs it into the gps which calculates the priory at 49 acres. I decided to get ahold of the tax record. Sure enough 49 acres. I emailed the company to see if they will rectify this since they advertised it at 80 acres. Is the advertisement is gone and the agreement does not specify acreage.

Also if you hunt northern zone between sept 27th and sept 30th you can use last year's bow and regular season tags from previous season as long as they are not filled.

Haha yeah. You are correct. Total brain fart. I blame this wicked flu I have right now.

I shoot .308 winmag. I really like it. I picked up a thompson center icon. Camo with all weather coating. Shoots like a dream. Rifle ran me around $900

You are legally allowed to shoot fawns also. I spend so much time on if we could we sometimes don't stop to think if we should. -

its lethal but head shots have a much smaller margin of error. Ive seen the jaw of a doe blown off. Not pretty. Misjudge just a little bit, have an involuntarily spam, gust of wind, and even ammo inconsistencies can cause disaster with a low % shot. Even the bests marksman will miss there Mark a bit from time to time. -

I shoot lights out and extremely accurate and proficient with all my fire arms and I would never attempt a headshot. Its just plain unethical in my opinion. -
Oh I can use a shotgun but my brother and I made a no firearm rule.
-
Well I picked up a new lease today. Only 80 acres but it's going to be just my brother and I hunting it. Bow only. Suburban hunting so I hope I am able to get a shot at one of the suburban buck running around that area.
