OMG.... Great bucks!
-
Yeah, it is a pretty neat looking critter. I cropped the pics for a better look. From what I've read, they can be pretty destructive to small game populations though. Got enough problems with coyotes!
-
Yep, woodchuck for dinner!
-
Got another pic of him, ~300 yards away. Looks to be heading to the same thicket where the previous pics were taken by my stand.

This is the first year that I've heard of any fishers being around (Wayne County). I've gotten several pics this year. Not sure if the pics that I've been getting this summer is of the same one or it's there's several? Pretty cool though...

WOW! That's a lot of bone in the back yard!! The boys must still be hanging together...

Cool looking buck!

If they don't stop on their own, I always give them a bleat with my mouth. They usually stop right on the spot, but aren't on alarm or anything. More curiosity, I guess. I'm a whole lot more confident with my shot when the target isn't moving!

Nice work Grow! We get a lot of use out of mine. It's up 16'. If I was more handy, I would have enclosed it. But, I'm not, so I improvised and put a pop up blind on top. It works...

Hate to tell you pal, but I've owned 2 pairs of those. After the first time, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and ordered again, because I got them cheap. I only got 2 years out of each pair, before they started leaking. The rubber cracks and the seams leak after 2 years. If you don't hunt in a wet area, you might be OK.

I didn't think we needed Maury to run a DNA test to confirm that, "You ARE the father"!! LOL Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

Kind of an interesting comparison. I had a huge buck around 4 years ago, but he was killed. I started getting pics of a good buck this year and his rack characteristics looked very similar to the buck from 4 years ago. I found pics of both bucks at the same angle. I would say there's a VERY good chance that the big buck from 4 years ago is the father of the buck from this year. The buck on the top was the huge one from 4 years ago. The bottom pic is the buck that I've been seeing this year.

Yeah, it was ok. Not exactly what I was hoping for, but worth a watch.... 5/10. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

Kind of cool that he was there Saturday morning at 6:24am and my son and I were there checking the cam 9:30am. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

We're going tonight. I'm going out this afternoon to get a red balloon to hang in her room to "greet" my daughter when she wakes up tomorrow morning!

I got a few pics of this guy last week when he was still in velvet, ~80 yards from a stand. I was wondering if he was using a trail that passed by my stand, so I put a cam by the stand. Got a pic of him and his 3 smaller buddies (still in bachelor group) passing by my stand at 10 yards.

Got the news Friday afternoon that the conference that I was scheduled to attend in Atlanta was cancelled. Thank God! We were suppose to fly out today.

There's one scene of Salems Lot that gave me nightmares as a kid! Remember when that vampire kid was scraping his finger nails on the other kids window saying, "Let me in, let me in....". Oh God, now I gotta think happy thoughts to get that out of my head... puppies, kittens, boobs, puppies, kittens, boobs, puppies, kittens, boobs.......................................................................................................

We're going Sunday afternoon to It! Can't wait! We have to go see it as a "family"... we're kinda weird. Horror movie fans! My wife and I have been talking for months about putting a red balloon and paper boat in my daughters room some night after we go see It.

Actually this weekend. -
If it were up to me, I would be cancelling the business trip. Not worth the risk. Unfortunately, I'm going with my manager and the General Manager and they aren't too concerned about the hurricane, affecting our trip. Considering we're in the "Safety" field AND going to a "Safety Leadership" conference, it seems pretty stupid to me to be taking this unnecessary risk. When I mentioned that I had a feeling that at minimum we would probably end up getting stuck at an airport, due to wind and rain, my manager just said that we could "just rent a car and drive back".... Oh boy.... I'm kind of banking on getting to the airport in Rochester Sunday night and learning that the flight into Atlanta has been cancelled, due to weather conditions. Sitting here in a pub in Niagara Falls watching the storm track and news reports thinking "WTF"...

Hurricane Irma sounds pretty nasty! Been following the reports pretty closely. I'm suppose to flying to Georgia on Sunday for a seminar, then heading back Wednesday night. Better pack extra clothes and food, expecting flight delays, if not worse... UGH! Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

Not sure exactly which Covert model I have, but 99% of the pics are blurry. (Some black flash model) It's the worst quality pics of the 4-5 brands of trail cams that I've tried.
